This is version 1 of an atmos recording of a busy beach during the summer. In this version i am facing the sea so it picks up more of the surf sounds and people playing in the sea itself. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 using internal stereo mic. See version 2 for atmos recording where i have my back to the sea and pick up more of the beach itself.
This is a recording straight off my phone, so sorry for the terrible quality and the rustling. The speaker in the car was acting up and played some sort of choppy cut of what i believe to be rocket man, since that’s what started playing when the bluetooth got back into range. At the end of the recording you can hear my dad getting back into the car. Use all you’d like, but i do like to hear about where you did use it so i can look it up myself.
The sound of a bag of snap peas being dropped to the floor and then picked up repeatedly. I needed a sound effect like this for a project but thought it'd be worth sharing for anyone else with a similar niche need!.

Gas boiler in my kitchen starts up, you can hear the piezo ignition inflaming the gas and the subsequent burning gas. This version is processed (compressor, eq). Recording by a zoom h2n.

A long prop motor boat travelling up a river. I recorded this in 2019 on the secure river in bolivia from inside one of those boats with the single long propeller shift.

Tracking a bee from flower to flower, with a rode shotgun mic. Close up buzzing sounds as the bee flies around. Birdsong and a faint aeroplane noise in the background.

Yeah, it's so screwed up you can barely tell it was from that sample. That ringing in the back is a stretched and pitched piece of the same sample. I was trying to make a dub loop, but this is what i got. Really freaky.

Simple type of riff with some flange and vibrato/noise. Low gain type of distortion. Sorta random chords type of playing which would probably work broken up into smaller sections. Gets nasty at the end.
A drum loop using one of bandlab's drum loops from the old-school breakbeat pack chopped up and put through an amp, with some fast-forward samples added.

A steampunk style grapple hook made in reaper from cutting up and doing eq, pitch, and fade manipulations. Source audio is me smashing my bicycle chain against various surfaces while recording from iphone audio recorder.
A bionic man-like effect. Created in qtractor with calf organ and c* scape stereo delay. Processed in audacity to speed up velocity, added a tremolo inverse sawtooth effect to increase ducking at a frequency, and added fade in and out.
Loud, fast steps on two different surfaces. Very loud clacks and then slightly deeper clicks. High heels. Could be someone walking up or down stairs with many landings.
Simple, short bit of train station ambience that i picked up at cardiff central. Recorded impromptu on my google pixel 2 using easy voice recorder on the play store.
Footsteps lead up to pedestrian crossing, traffic comes to a halt at pelican crossing on king st, beeping starts, lights change, lorry takes off air-brakes and traffic resumes.
Director of "rodky horror show" wanted a spooky sound effect when riff raff opens door. I recorded and made up a sound effect of door being unchained using tire chains, and mixed it with freesound 70101 of a creaky door.
An open-ended question and suggestion, "is your mixtape going to be good enough? perhaps it's time to add. . . " it's a set up for either the start of a strong song or another word or phrase such as bass or funk or whatever.

This is an artificial lifeform. The sound of a worm striving to be free in a hostile ambient. Done for video game sound design , sine tones pitched up and down randomically , then ran through a max granular patch.

Recliner couch closes up, with springs reverberation. Two takes, the first one is cleaner but the second has a bit more character. Recorded with røde ntg-3 into a canon c200. Exported as 48k wav out of premiere pro.
This is made up from sounds from one of my earlier fireworks uploads and was used for background in a battle scene in my sci fi radio sitcom accidentally reckless.
My dad had an old beat-up mouth organ, which was double tuned, in micro-tones to give a shimmering vibrato effect. I loved to just explore the overtones, and recompose them to make complex chords.
These birds are very rare and, in my country, are normally only found in the eastern highlands. For some some reason this little specimen popped up in our garden in the suburbs of harare. Recorded on a zoom h4n.
