I've been waiting for a month with presonus support to get an simple ra number. I thought in the meantime, i'd post the sound this dead studiolive 16. 4. 2 mixer makes.

Maybe a little overlong but it was trimmed down from a 45-minute recording. Try slowing it down to like 5% for some good acidic sounds.

Synth bells that i generated in pro tools 10 using xpand2. They gliss up, then down.

A morphagene reel culled from an improvisation i made on a eurorack modular synth. Qu-bit electronix scanned is the sole voice here. Splices in the reel are ordered from somewhat delicate (taps, pulses, etc. ) to pretty chaotic noise. All recorded into a zoom h6.

A space-like sound. I imagined it as an airlock seal engaging in outer space, and the overwhelming sense of isolation through a shifting 8k tone. Believe it or not, i generated this sound not for battlestar galactica, but a courtroom scene on a play i designed the sound for.

A plugin that couldn't handle that amount of distortion i was running through it, the result was this cool sample so not complaining.

An experimental sound i did. It kinda sound like some space jet or something, i don't know. But yeah, it's experimental. To make the sound, first, i recorded the wind coming from my electric fan, then i edited it in adobe auditions cs6, then audacity for the final touches.

Probably you could use to simulate the sound in the ear after a explosion or to put in the background to make a tension scene.

Sci-fi communications 2recorded from a circuit bent randomly modified casio ctk811 via the line out into a spirit folio mixer and m300 tc electronics processor and recorded at 24bit/96khz on a tascam dr60mk2. Edited and normalised in sound forge 13.

An arpeggiating synth, a hard sound to describe! sounds like a ring spinning and loosing energy. [cc zero].

Information encoded with some sort of impulse modulation. This one was transmitted via gsm cellular network and corrupted in a creepy way.

Basically, a variant of an alarm on a passenger aircraft that signals the complete loss of fuel. Created in audacity with a tone generated at 500hz.

Variation of the loop from:http://www. Freesound. Org/people/maxndee/sounds/106962/. Placed each hit on beat of 125, then put it through a saw tooth transformer, then slight reverb and compression. Other little details like raising one side by 2 decibels to even things out. Also, arranged the rhythm according to a phrase i thought made some more sense, added a couple of variation percs of my own to fill in the gaps. Put either a different eq on them or changed the pitch. Enjoy.
