Our neighbors fought a lot. Usually at around 2am and it would go on for about an hour or two. Besides being angry and annoyed, my girlfriend and i were always curious as to what they could possibly be fighting about. I had the idea to record them via a long mic cable stretching down the hallway, strategically hidden behind a few pieces of wood, to their apartment door. My plan was to one day play this from my stereo at a loud volume around 2am. As i later thought this through i realized that this would only disturb my other quiet neighbors and was a fairly selfish act. Anyway, i used a $100 audio-technica stereo mic and recorded it directly into my computer as an. Aiff. They seem to be arguing about a stereo and someone not loving the other. It's rather sad. We no longer live in that building so i have no idea what became of them. I hope they are happier now. Enjoy.

A rickenbacker 4003 playing a melodic lick. I played the bass connected directly to a motu 828mkii. I recorded using logic running under os x 10. 10 yosemite on a mac mini. I used fission to trim the beginning and ending and perform normalization. Note: this is a replacement for sound #328627 which i had mistakenly uploaded as a stereo file.

I took a clip from the audio i recorded of wax paper crinkling, cut a segment from it, played it backwards, put it on loop, layered it with the original, and this is what i got. There is an somewhat syncopated pattern to the sounds, but the audio is cut off before it makes a full cycle. Enjoy.

It's a pretty long sound you can cut it and get the parts you need from it, it just basically 2 drivers fighting while a kid cries sometimes in the background. I recorded it with a friend of mine in a car drifting and my other friends were standing outside yelling at us on purpose.

Unedite, recorded in a bus with a group of vietnamese female voices talking all at the same time, sounds like arguing. Normal vietnamese speech is in high pitch, loud with short one syllable words. With some editing could be used as a group of aliens speaking around you.

I combined two drum sound samples, one of the impact with a deep echo, and one a hollow wood tube strike against a hard object to a certain rhythm. I had to make a background track of roman senators talking for a comedy radio theater production. I recorded myself 5 times in different voices (other than my own) and got this track. There's a dumb senator in there, an old man senator, and three other random senator voices. :). You may do whatever you like with this sound. . . No attribution required, although i'd appreciate it if you would! :). Comments are always appreciated! :). P. S. Try to see if you can tell what the dumb senator is saying. . . That was the one that always got my friends laughing. Hint: it starts out with something like this (duuuhh) does any-body know what 'appened to julius caesar? well i see he died, but who knows? etc. Then he starts talking about how dumb he is and how everybody should imitate him because he's so dumb. . . Etc. :). All of the voices are done by me and none of these voices here are my normal voice. Xd.

The title was what i told him. It wasn't that recent and nobody really got hurt, so why agonize? it was supposed to be just beer and chips i was serving. Shouldn't have ever repeated. Suddenly i was being handed my robe and hustled off to put it on. I guess he saw me trying to disappear into the hallway. Had to tell him something, and i wasn't really up for a war.

The soundscape is created by using behringers pro-1 and crave. I recorded into logic via a yamaha mixer and steinbergs ur22 mk1. In logic i destroyed the sound completely with a bunch of effects. Effects used: space delay, microphaser, a vocoder and of course my beloved bitcrusher. Did some equalizing too.
