My girlfriend brushing her teeth with an electric tooth brush. The fundamental pitch of the toothbrush motor is just near b2. The mouth shape adds the first few upper harmonics (a la throat singing). Make a pad or pull into a granular synth!. Recorded with an akg c214 into an ni audio kontrol 1.

This is a looping sound effect. Timing got screwy while making it so i dont have a bpm or even a time sig. Made it with an old yamaha synth and a mac. Makes me kind of nervlous when i lissen to it so it might work good whe you wanna confuze somebody or make them cautious.

Test of how uoki-toki polivoks vcf handles sin-wave (ca 270hz) when the filter is self-oscillating. I bring the uoki-toki polivoks vcf to self-oscillation and tune the vcf to ca 270hz too. I let the lfo sweep the frequency. Cv1 pot at ca 100%. Hmmm interesting. . . .

Generative modular acid line sequenced with my own custom script that is specialized for non-quantized sort of strings of notes. I mangled the envelope quite a bit though so it just sounds more swingy than anything i guess. Not sure what the bpm would be. Would be better if it were cut up for one-shot sounds maybe.

This is a random synthesized click-sound followed by a reverb with 200 ms pre-delay. I used cubase roomworks and roomworks se for the reverb, synth 1 for the click and various plugins to master the samples a little. Still they sound pretty unprocessed so you can edit them to fit your needs.

Yep, i'm reading allen stranges "electronic music: system, techniques and controls". Interesting from start. This is a patch made with lessons from chapter 5. 20 modules involved. The ending is just modular freak-out. . . Whit the turn of one pot. . . Leading to some nice sound fx.

Synthesized train horn using moderately manipulated french horn ensemble library. The train sounds like it is coming toward the listener through pitch and volume effects. I removed the panning i originally made it with so you can manipulate that to your liking. This is offered with cc0, but if you can attribute, please do.

This wave file is prepared as a morphagene reel 48khz, 32 bit with markers (splices) for each sound. They're all tuned to c, they're stereo and have some reverb. It basically turns your morph into a synth voice that responds very well to 1v/oct. I am sure you're going to have fun with it.

5 quantussy cells controlling 2 oscillators, 1 wave folder, 1 filter and 1 drum module (bmc analog drum). Even the pitch of the drum is controlled by one of the quantussy cells. The drum sound to fed to the feedback in on doepfer a-199 spring reverb.

While attempting to create a sick ass dubstep wob noise in rob papen's albino synth plugin, i managed to stumble across a telephone-like sound while pitching the filter cutoff on a weird shaped wave oscillator. I then put down the dubstep tune, and exported the noise with a gradual huge reverb at the end just for fun. I hope you enjoy it and i'd love to hear if someone uses it and in what context!. Recordings with a telephone coil microphone recording sounds from an external blu ray drive and a smartphone (telephone coil recorded via behringer xenyx q1202 usb mixer, line-in) and 2. These sci-fi synth sweeps were created by manipulating white noise with filter sweeps and other effects and then using noise reduction to remove the underlying white noise. You would need to pick through them and cut them up, but they can be useful for sound designing light graphic elements that move around and animate on and off.

A space-like sound. I imagined it as an airlock seal engaging in outer space, and the overwhelming sense of isolation through a shifting 8k tone. Believe it or not, i generated this sound not for battlestar galactica, but a courtroom scene on a play i designed the sound for.

Some loops i made in reaktor. They're made using a little wavetable-based synth which i built from scratch; the wavetable contains 32 home-grown waveforms, and the synth's parameters and effects are controlled by a bank of 16 sequencers. Good for glitch/minimal techno, and there are some nice individual bleeps/percussive sounds in there too. Enjoy!.

Sounds from barton musical circuits dual logic going though doepfer a-101-1 vactrol vcf. Dual logic is modulated by bartons 2lfosh, via bastl-instruments tromsø. The vfc is also modulated by 2lfosh. The other sound is from alm pip slope in loop mode and modulated by a nonlinearcircuits single jerkoff, with an injection of cv from 2lfosh.
