At the beginning the sound of thunder overload the audio signal because high level of decibels produced for high pressure levels. Recorded with zoom h4n recorder, with x, y mics at 120 degrees. The tree toads are finally here, after a long dry spell. The water dropped onto huge norway maple leaves overhead. Don't even ask why i was out there at 2 am.

The wind was so strong, that i had a fear that one of the branches of the pines could snap and fall on me. The recording is a 32bit float, 48khz ms-stereo one, made with a sennheiser mkh 416, and ambient ate 308 emesser figure of eight, in a røde blimp with fur cover. I was amazed that the blimp did its job this good in this strong wind.

From 26th to 27th june 2016 intense thunderstorm in the distance recorded by my sony icd-ux512, pécel, hungary.

This caught my attention as an unfamiliar sound, and i actually had to investigate to learn what it was. It was the raindrops hitting some styrofoam bodyboards near a swimming pool, which at times sounded almost more like a hollow "pop" than a "drip. ". In the background one can hear thunder, rain, and the humming of a pool filtration system. Recorded with an iphone 7.
