This soundsketch takes sounds and uses them to re-create a 1-minute portion of my personal soundwalk. The recording includes sounds from city life and nature.

Field recording of a large truck being used to transport some kind of utility maintenance equipment. I couldn't begin to tell you what kind of equipment, but i can overprocess the sound it makes, so i did. Sounds a bit more industrial and imposing now.

I made a waveshaper in the js audio language that applies random math operations to the signal. The original signal is liteon's (of reaper forums) lorenz attractor synth, which is then run through the waveshaper, then that signal controls the pitch of a soundwave. Later on i waveshape the resulting soundwave but i don't think it has the best results (dc offset city). A lot of the cooler sounds/series of pitches are made by changing the number of operations on the fly, or shuffling a new set of operations for the waveshaper to use.

Information encoded with some sort of impulse modulation. This one was transmitted via gsm cellular network and corrupted in a creepy way.

The sample are mixed and processed. The fade-in/stopping done by filters & the noises, the full sample done by glitching, granulize & adding more sounds: doorclosing, drive starting, -stopping & dooropening/drive ending.

The steady rumble of highway noise heard while riding in a poorly insulated car on the highway. Sample is loopable.

The clip was created using a synsonics "terminator" guitar with a built-in amp by running the output to my sound card and sound card's output going into to a secondary jack intended for headphones on the guitar. It created an interesting metallic noise, almost like a ring mod. . . There is a segment where i was poking the guitar's amp circuit board with my fingers which creates lots of grumbling/squelchy noises. . . The guitar is kind of crappy, but it makes a pretty neat noise synth! :b.

This is a recording made in the room of my apartment in italy in the province of rieti while i was trying my new drone that i have for a few days, "dji phantom 4 pro". This recording was done with the digital stereo microphone connected to my iphone 12 pro. I notice that in this recording, at first there is some wind noise caused by the drone itself.

I recorded making differnt kind of noises with leaves and other plant parts to use them as a base to create some monster-like sounds using distortion and filters. Recorded with a tascam dr-22wl and cut with ardour.
