Used when something dark/scary just happened.

Just stumbled across the recording of me scraping all of my guitar strings while adding headphones from my amp (with distortion) to my phone when i recorded the sound and i decided to share this with you.

Just a sound of the switch.

From high to low the notes are e, f#, d#, b, f#. Has a nice suspended sound. Slice it up and turn it into a pad.

Some radio noise.

Single guitar note reversed and reverberated, resembling some kind of cinematic sound. Original sound recorded with an sm57 in front of a fender blues junior.

Electric sparkle sound made in harmor in flstudio. Sound is made of harmor generating dark, unison, subbas oscilation with three partials with fundamental frequency of 50hz. Partials got decaying amplitude along frequencies. Bass is put into wave shaper with smooth, negative peak distortion at 50% of positive range. Then falls into parametric equalizer boosting 3khz, forming wide parabolic shape. Bass frequencies are cut off. 44. 1khz, 16bit.

A heavily detuned guitar, played noisily, chopped up and reconstituted into the vague shape of a drum solo by a very lazy "machine learning" script.

The sound of a large walk-in fridge buzzing from the outside.

From frederick noad's book: 'idiots guide to playing the guitar. ' noad plays it so beautifully, i could never match him, but i just wanted to try it with the electric instead. Recorded with my squire tele and squire bass into the focusrite interface. The guitar went through the walrus slo pedal on 'dream' setting with editing done in reaper. (shout out to kenny gioia for the tips). Bass was run through my behringer bxl 1800 bass amp and through the interface. Both instruments were triple tracked. Wrote/recorded a guitar, simple bass, simple drums at 120-bpm. Guitar recorded direct into a scarlett 18i20 then used guitar rig 5 plugin from native instruments. Ezbass for bass. For a videogame we needed to create a sound in a scene where guitar players are doing sound check before show. Random chords, leaks, rips, tuning just for fun. Recorded using gibson les paul guitar, processed with overloud th2 plugin.

Acustic guitar fender recorded with some amps from pod hd400 and some philters,eq and gross beat effects. I saved it in - 6 db with a tempo 130bpm.

De-tuned electric guitar noise played through a heavy metal pedal and a small practice amp , recorded with a cheap condenser mic and fussed with a bit.

Simple. 8-second fading beep. 500hz square wave. Took 2 seconds in audacity. Couldn't find any good beeps for a countdown so i made one.

Static 50hz buzzing. Close distance. Recorder: tascam dr-60d mkiimicrophone: 2x røde m5.

Short stereo recording of a malfunctioning light bulb. It's making very unpleasant sound. I have increased and decreased volume on the recorder during the recording. After recording i switched the light off and when switching on it didn't work already :drecorded with sony pcm d50.

An electric door on a mini-van opening.

Non-functional tube radio warming up, making a loud 60hz hum with lots of harmonics. As a bonus it clicks off at the end. Zenith consoltone. Only because the faq says so: electro voice n/d 257a through impedance transformer into crappy gigabyte motherboard realtek high definition audio. 16bits, processed at 32bits. Audacity sound editor and/or driver wouldn't record mic level so it was very noisy after amplification. Filtered with a (mathematically equivalent) fft constructed whopping 64k length zero phase filter (blackman window) with 5 wavelength width bandpass at each harmonic from 60hz to 5,520hz. For some reason a fraction of some of the harmonics didn't get through so did another pass on the residual noise and mixed that in. Near the beginning there was a sort of brief duplicate signal that descended in pitch so it didn't make it through the filter. I added that bit in. Attenuated frequencies above 3. 6khz because they are pretty much noise, but removing them didn't sound right. Cleaned up the beginning a bit in various ways, cut it down to 15 sec and carefully appended the unfiltered "click" onto the end, which i denoised 12db with audacity's noise reduction.

Pure 50hz electromagnetic coil/inductor noise (hum).
