July 22nd, 2017. A city street festival in denver colorado usa. A hot sunny day, lots of people out to enjoy the afternoon, lots of vendors, small stages, pas blaring recorded music, finally a live performance at the end. A binaural field-recording of me leaving my apartment out to a very energetic street festival with live jazz. Recorded october 2022 east village, nyc. File also has been edited for a little loudness.

These recordings were made at the annual "tag der sachsen" (saxony fair) in freiberg. Recordings were done on the main market square (obermarkt), where a local radio station had set up a large stage for concerts and other events. Recording was done with a zoom h2, mics at 90° dispersion. This is the early morning after the event, at about 7. 30, stage hands are taking down the rigging, workers are clearing away trash and loading trucks. During the recording, someone starts working with a leaf blower.

Recorded crowd of people leaving field day. I was hanging out of a 3rd story window using a roland r05. The crowd's moving from right to left with a bottleneck to the immediate left. The crowd builds up then clears a bit and so on.

Stereo ambience of people passing by at the kulturforum in berlin. This is a large open concrete space next to the berlin philharmonic hall. It's a warm summer evening and the berlin philharmonics have just finished an open air concert. The recording starts about 15 minutes after the end of the concert while everyone is leaving the place, maybe about 1000-1500 people. The crowd is generally in a happy and talkative mood. There are lots of international folks and tourists, so you'll not only hear german, but also english and lots of other languages. After six minutes or so there is also a police siren in the background. Recorded with a zoom h6 (xy mics). Walking through mexico city's weekend market at the chapultepec park. People speaking spanish, walking and buying food and souvenirs. Recorded with my iphone 11.
