I'm afraid i threw that together 7 years ago when i would have been 14 years old. I can't really remember whether i used any other sounds to make it, or if i generated it (and definitely can't remember who needs attributed if soundswere used). Warning: careful when listening, it gets loud!. July 4th. Recorded in the midwest usa, where we adore our explosives. The omnis on my humble dr-05 did a pretty good job capturing the sheer depth of zillions of people blowing stuff up together :-). You’ll hear: people having a party in the distance, a bonfire crackling on the right, a distant train blowing its whistle, and of course a lot of explosions. A couple of the big bangs clipped, but unsurprisingly, it made no audible difference. I reduced to 48khz, 24 bit and normalized to -3. 0 db. It really wakes up when you apply some eq to your liking. But i left it as is for everybody.

This sound was made by popping a cellophane bag and recorded using an m-audio microtrack ii. This sounds really good as a firework or an explosion sound, especially with reverb.

I recorded it in some church in warsaw when draught close the doors. It's sounds like explosion or kick drum.

This is a file that uses multiple files from this website put into one. I wanted to make a semi realistic gunfight and found a few clips to use. There is a lot of gunfire in the beginning. A quarter or halfway through the audio, the gunfire peters out to a few weapons and background noise firing with the occasional sniper fire.

Where we live the fireworks laws are pretty lax so people go crazy with them. Here is a recording from the day before independence day (yesterday) as people were blowing up part of their arsenal ahead of time. In a few hours i will be recording as things get really crazy. Our neighbors on three sides will light off the thousands of dollars of fireworks that they have purchased. Many of them are illegal (purchased from indian reservations) so there will be some big booms. Back to this recording. It is recorded with my "fake head" binaural setup, hanging from a tripod at the crest of the garage roof. There is a tree a few feet away and a light breeze is rustling the leaves. Here is a bit of a timeline:. 0:00 kids across the street light off a few fireworks4:05 the neighbors across the street were having a party, and the guests begin to leave. 6:30 the guest of honor honks and yells "love you" as she drives away. 8:00 the kids across the street go inside. Now all you hear are fireworks in the distance, all over town. 32:17 someone lights what must be a million firecrackers. They continue until 51:20 - 19 minutes!!!.

Lightning strike very close to our house - within 1/3 mile. The neighbors were out watching and you can hear their reaction. Recorded with sony pcm-m10 internal mics, sitting on porch roof. No editing other than fade-out.
