This in-n-out is located in downtown burbank, california located at 761 n 1st st, burbank, ca 91502. The great thing about this recording is that it's free of all music that would invalidate the recording due to copyright restrictions. In-n-out, unlike other fast food chains, does not allow music in their dining rooms. This is because most in-n-out locations are so busy and constantly loud, the addition of music would create an unbearable sense of mayhem. This is the soundscape i've recorded in my neighboorhood of cidade tiradentes, a district from são paulo, brazil. We name these events as pancadão (big punch) or fluxo (flow). When a flow occurs, you know that the sound is very high and it invades all surroundings. It happened in april 4, 2021, during our worst period in the the global covid-19 pandemic. Plent of people, vehicles, multiple speakers and so on in a street. I'm writing in the exact moment police came to repress, but in my conclusion only education can solve city problems, not repression, not paliative atitudes. I think this is interesting to share it here, as a cultural manifestation, showing that when the state fails, everyone fails. This is disrespectful at all, but i try to look it as a construction of city. It's a warm summer evening and the berlin philharmonics have just finished an open air concert. The recording starts about 15 minutes after the end of the concert while everyone is leaving the place, maybe about 1000-1500 people. The crowd is generally in a happy and talkative mood. There are lots of international folks and tourists, so you'll not only hear german, but also english and lots of other languages. After six minutes or so there is also a police siren in the background. Recorded with a zoom h6 (xy mics). Here are the audience bits from a jazz concert i recorded using an olympus field recorder. The auditorium was intimate and acoustically excellent. In the first section if applause you will here a mild rumble. There was a standing ovation, and that's what that rumble is. I also included some quiet bits of the band on stage getting ready for a song, and some subtle crowd walla as well. There is plenty to play with if you need to loop. You may here some bits of the mc or sax player in the background near the end, but nothing you can't work around if you need to.
