After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of one of the internal draws. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

The underground railway stop aspudden in stockholm/sweden. The recorder is situated near the end of the platform, facing along the line to the entrance. A fair crowd of passengers is waiting on the platform. The pa is announcing the next train, which promptly arrives and opens it's doors. Recorded with a zoom h2n. This recording was taken in the edinburgh cbd during the fringe festival in august 2022 in the early evening, around 7pm. I like it because it gives an idea of the unusual way that sounds travel in that city. I could never figure out the reason for it, but it was noticeable to me the whole time i was there. This is a slow version of the s. G. I. Buddhist mantra nam myo ho renge kyo. It was recorded by me with my voice and a bit of echo and reverb using the audacity program. The recording device used was my computer windows xp with a very low-end microphone. I downloaded a free audacity recording program.

This sample was created by taping a razor blade to a contact microphone and allowing the blade to scrape against the edge of a record spinning on a turntable. The reverb was added in real time, so there's not a dry signal recording. Very reminiscent of tg's "hamburger lady" in some ways. Sounds like a human voice almost.

I recorded myself eating a slice of an apple. Using a sony ic recorder held closely to my mouth i chewed it very rudely then removed some background noise in fl studio's edison editor and then used fl limiter to really up the volume.
