This is a line i'm going to use in a future animation. You see, if you've played silent hill 4, you'll know henry says "what the hell" a lot. Well, in my animation, a hole appears in my bathroom just like in the game, so of course i'm gonna say that signature line :p.

This is a stereo recording of two cats eating wet food and dry food from the same bowl. It was recorded with a pair of rode nt-5s. I added reverb so they're in a cave. There is a version without reverb also.

Over seven minutes of rolling waves breaking next to shore. It was windy, so you hear some of that too. Occasionally you can hear people and birds in the background. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 and cleaned up in audacity. If you use it, shout-outs welcome: production-now. Com.

I recorded this with my ipod in coyoacán méxico. I visited grandma and i found this people. You know i love music. So i asked one of them if he could teach me how to play birimbau, and he did. Ovbiusly that is not me. But it is great!.

I was wearing a flat cap so the sheep thought i was the farmer and raced down the hill towards me, expecting to be fed. They were disappointed. It was early may and the air was still and clear. You can make out the echoes from the steep hill behind them.

One snare out of a bunch of custom snares made by me, combined samples, multi-band compressed and hit to tape. Custom to the point that i layered and re-sampled, layered and resampled. So much mangling and layering and resampling that its impossible to tell you the source to these snares.

Had a fire drill in uni today so thought i would have a shot at recording it incase any of you have a use for it. I recorded it using a tascam dr-40, 44. 1khz 24bit.

So, i was messing around with audacity and made this little sound. I used a sound of me screaming (trimmed) and i messed up with the effects then kapow! it's here! xd. I really had no idea what is this but let's say it was some sort of laser though. Created with audacity.

Ian dury used something like this in "what a waste". . . It's the gurgling noise made when the last of the water runs down a bathroom sink plughole. Conveys almost as much meaning as a cistern flushing, but in a shorter time (smaller file size). As ever (with my stuff) no "noises off" and so ready for mixing!.

Another drum track i made for a friend to jam with using the the real drum sounds in fruityloops. Its a 6 bar loop comprising of a beat with hats and the with ride and back to the hats again. Originally it was programmed at 55 bpm but sounds better at 90 or so.

A freight train passes and a long distance express follows it. The express has been carrying travelers for more than 40 years, but people are switching to faster shinkansen, so the historical express disappears on march 13. This is a memorial recording. Mkh20 and mkh30, korg mr-1.

I used my bathroom as a live echo chamber - porting out from my pc, and then recording back via a neuman mic. I liked the tunefullness of the boiler pump in the airing cupboard, so left it running and put the mic in there. This is a very small piece of an overtone composition i made.

Took my zoom h4 with me on the last flight of a 5 story metal stairwell then on the backstage catwalk - first back stage, then over the audience, then to the sound booth of a theatre i was working at. Note: i did not realize my pants made so much noise as i was walking.

A recording of someone opening a door and forcefully closing it, either out of carelessness or anger. I have left a large amount of blank space in between the opening and closing of the door so that if you want to have it, it is there. But it can always be taken out.

A fly buzzing around. The thumps are the fly bumping into the wall and a lampshade. This file is dry, so there's some low-frequency garbage from my holding the mic and following the fly. A high pass at around 200hz fixes that. Feel free to use this for whatever you want. 100% public domain.

This is my old bedsheet being torn apart with bare hands. I have recorded this in 96khz/24-bit with a zoom h2, then normalized and saved as a 16-bit. This sample has a lot of sounds of tearing (unedited) so i think anyone can find something useful in it :).

This is a cricket that was chirping outside of my apartment. There a few loud chirps at the beginning, followed by several softer chirps. I was able to get my recorder pretty close the cricket, so the sounds came out pretty good. I recorded this with a tascam dr-07 portable recorder.

Nearly three minutes of blackbird song. This file has been condensed (the time between song phrases is shorter than the natural interval). I have made every attempt to screen out other background noise (including painstakingly removing the song of most other birds) recorded in la drova (spain) and so this bird will have a spanish accent!.

While doing sit-ups in my bedroom - i've discovered that the friction of my back with the floor makes hilarious "fart-like" sounds. I grabbed my zoom h4n recorder - and recorded some. Good fart sounds are sometimes not so easy to find :). (this is file 2 of 2. Each was recorded in a different rec. Level. . . ).

This was made with kontact and a korg ea-1, mixed with a behringer mixer with light dirt and overdrive. Sampled into an mpc. Left and right are separate channels processed differently. So each sample is actually 2 different sample, 3 if you combine them. 44. 1k, 16-bit.

We were having a small rainstorm, so i thought i'd go out and record the rain. As you can see, (or hear!), i got much more than that! this is the complete original audio, all unedited. It sounds as if the lightning struck at least three times! enjoy! (i know i do!).

Some bells - first played one by one, then some clusters. The bells were part of an art installation from yougoslavian artist stipo pranyko, who was having a retrospective at tea, in santa cruz de tenerife. This was recorded in the big halls of the museum, that's why there's so much reverb. Recorded with a zomm h4 n.

Well, this was a happy accident. I was trying to record my neighborhood with birds, etc, but of course living in los angeles that was practically impossible, so instead i captured this great helicopter passing directly overhead. Recorded with: audio technica bp 4025, sound devices 702t.

A ring of keys picked up and dropped repeatedly from a height of 6" or so into a tub of coins. Assorted metal-against-metal sounds when picked up, short metallic crashes when dropped. Some minor removal of background noise. Recorded with minidisc and condenser mic, close, indoors.

I created this using digital synthesizers. I lost the presets to this so i can't say exactly how it was created, but eventually i'll create a new version and describe the process. It's basically multiple layers of very grainy (like sparklers or vinyl) noise processed through filters modulated by some kind of noise.

I needed the sound of stamping letters in a post office. (for background use)i could not find any good, so i made this. I used to work in a postoffice, and i think the sound is pretty close. Nagra ares m with improved xy mic. I used a little (-6db) izotope2 nr.

Campus road traffic in bloomington, in. Multiple vehicles passing by, including a bus that completely stops with air brake on the right. Wet street due to rain, so tires squeak as they move. Recorded on a roland r-05 recorder.

These are very soft and quiet bubbles burbling up to the surface of the water. I couldn't find any sounds for soft, gentle bubbles – so i made some. Recorded using a blue yeti, with a large plastic bowl in front of the microphone, and straws taped together reaching outside the booth. Raw, unprocessed audio.

I removed the aerator from the kitchen faucet and didn't get it turned off. My coffee cup filled and this sound resulted. I thought, sounds a little like water falling into a pool in a cave; so here is the file without reverb, also am uploading one with it. Iphone and external mike. Reverb in audacity.

I clicked it so hard, that if i clicked it half as hard twice at the same time, it would be the same volume!!! there's quite a bit of background noise on this one because i am the king of maximum gain. Bzzhzhhshshhzhzhhhzzzz.

This is me getting a decaffeinated coffee from the vending machine at work, with the sound of two 5p pieces going into the coin feeder. This is the full take so ends with me singing o myself like an absolute goon.

This is a short clip of a chainsaw starting up, idling for a few seconds, then being revved up to cut a small log for a few more seconds before idling again. Contains idling and revving of a single-stroke engine. Recorded accidentally with an iphone in a pocket, so it's slightly muffled.

This night sound was recorded in south alabama in a bottom by a creek. It was recorded using a zoom h1 with the rode videomic go attached a dead cat windscreen was used. The clip was cleaned up in adobe audition cs6. The clip is edited so it can be used as a loop.

This is a recording of my old antique clock. I recorded this using an ipad microphone so it may not be best quality. Near the end of the recording, it strikes 2 o'clock. If you hear some bump or tapping sound, that is because my around moved around and bump the door of the clock.
