I was recording with audacity on my blue yeti whilst in my room. The mic was totally unbalanced on my bed and it eventually fell over but when i played it back it sounded like a nice whoosh or poof. Also if you put it in reverse it sounds like a giant wind flap like a bird or something.

This is a recording i made with my h4n while on exercise at meaford training centre, with an artillery unit. It features 5 mortars firing multiple rounds. In the back ground, you can hear fire orders being issued over the radio, as well as individual detachment commanders giving orders to their gunners.

The sound is edited in a way that it sounds distorted and clipped like it was back in the days when someone screamed into the microphone. Yes, this is intentional. (consider it being vintage :d). Common terns are pale gray overall with a black cap. Breeding birds have a fully black cap that extends to the back of the neck and a gray belly. Terns comes from lac des chanteraines next to paris. I love listen to terns next to highway. It’s a pretty shocking contrast of noise pollution.

My fmc002 submission!. For this, i generated several sounds from audiopaint (free software) and spectrobits (free vsti), two image->sound synthesis softwares. These sounded interesting but i wasn't sure how to use them. Then i made a drum beat, synth bassline, and some other stuff, rendered the song, used paulstretch to stretch the song out 4x, put it back in the project, added even more stuff to other tracks (mostly timestretched versions of my own samples), rendered the result, brought that render back into the daw, and then reversed it. A lot of effects and automation were also used during all 3 stages of the track's creation. Further, each time i rendered, i used the same mastering chain, so eq and other stuff is being applied multiple times. This brings out some surprising timbres and overtones. Really, the final recording sounds nothing like the sounds i began with.

After checking my mail i was walking back to the house and heard this plane approaching. I always carry my yamaha pocketrak and got it going just in time to catch this low flyover. You know that high pitch beep you hear after something super loud, like an explosion? here's a five second effort to reproduce that sound. It fades out towards the end like the person either comes back to themselves or passes out. There's probably some on freesound already but i couldn't find them so i just made my own in audacity.
