One of a series of recordings of a delightfully squelchy toy. Bringing my microphone up close to this toy, i found myself in a world of deep, squishy mud. Recorded with a rode nt1 into a universal audio arrow.

Putting magnets on a fridge: in this sound you can hear a person putting magnets on a fridge. You can hear that nice snap when the magnets are close. Recorded using the zoomh4n and the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. I added a low shelf to try to get rid of some background noise.

My adult cat was really wanting to be in on the recording, and got a little angry that i wouldn't hold him. You also get a brief jingle of his collar bell and loud exhalations of my breathing - i was trying not to laugh at his antics. I was holding my breath very close to the mic.

Pine cones dropping and landing on a bed of pine needles. This recording was made on a windy day, so there is some background "whooshing" wind; all in all, i think these pine cones softly landing on the needles can be put to good use. Recording made with my zoom h4n recorder, with a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. For this recording i literally wanted to get as close as i could, so i placed the shotgun microphone on the ground and carefully let the pine cones fall as close to the microphone as possible, but without hitting it. *not easy to do. At the end of the day, the buffalos came to eat some food the worker of the park gave to them with his truck. The bisons came really close to us. I recorded my dog lying next to me, relaxing and yawning a few times. Recorded with a sony ic recorder, cleaned up using edison in fl studio. I had the recorder very close to his mouth and i also used a limiter to increase the volume. However, i couldn't get rid of the background noise without making the breathing sound awful.
