I thought i had a diy contact mic somewhere, but i did not find it. But i found another thing. A contact mic for an instrument tuner. But (again) it had a 1/4 inch mono plug. That meant i could not connect it to my computer mic in. But (i know) what if i plug it in to my modular synth. Surprise. . . Then i could add a little filter, pan and spring reverb. So clamped the mic on to my external 3,5 inch disc drive and recorded. This is my submission to dare 51.

The drone has a form of pattern repeating every 2 minutes. But other thing are vaguely linked to this pattern. The heart of this patch is intellijel quadra + expansion. I'm using 3 oscillators and noise. I add some character to the sound with a driver pedal (boss bd-2).

This is art and sound with some creepy and weird feels.

Its a sine wave folded 4 times by a cgs inspired wavefolder module (kinda like the metalizer from the minibrute). The whole thing is then modulated with an external function generator that controls amount and frequency of modulation. This is what came out and it's pure junky drone noises, so goddamn nasty. Virtual analog synth mixed with analog ea-1 to create this wind like pad. Sampled through a behringer mixer into an mpc 1000. It sounds nothing like a wind section, hence the title broken wind. 44. 1k, 16-bit.
