Here is my attempt at making a startup sound for a video game system reminiscent of the sounds from playstation or xbox systems. I made it about 4 years prior to uploading, as the idea didn't cross my mind until now.

One of a series of recordings i made from a hikari monos cv. It's a small, highly tweakable synthesizer that's great for drones, resonant pings, and all manner of dynamic electronic sounds. These sounds might serve you well for game and ui sound design! recorded into a universal audio arrow.

A short, gently alarmed sound i made for negative user feedback events in apps and games. I used native instruments' massive, starting from a patch i originally authored for synthesizing parrot chirps! this sound might also be useful for more generic button duties.

Testing/documenting my bartonmusicalcircuits (bmc21) full wave dual rectifier. "this is an all analog synthesizer module used to alter the timbre and create new harmonic content. This is a looping sound effect. Timing got screwy while making it so i dont have a bpm or even a time sig. Made it with an old yamaha synth and a mac. Makes me kind of nervlous when i lissen to it so it might work good whe you wanna confuze somebody or make them cautious.

Test of how uoki-toki polivoks vcf handles sin-wave (ca 270hz) when the filter is self-oscillating. I bring the uoki-toki polivoks vcf to self-oscillation and tune the vcf to ca 270hz too. I let the lfo sweep the frequency. Cv1 pot at ca 100%. Hmmm interesting. . . .

Generative modular acid line sequenced with my own custom script that is specialized for non-quantized sort of strings of notes. I mangled the envelope quite a bit though so it just sounds more swingy than anything i guess. Not sure what the bpm would be. Would be better if it were cut up for one-shot sounds maybe.

This is a random synthesized click-sound followed by a reverb with 200 ms pre-delay. I used cubase roomworks and roomworks se for the reverb, synth 1 for the click and various plugins to master the samples a little. Still they sound pretty unprocessed so you can edit them to fit your needs.

Yep, i'm reading allen stranges "electronic music: system, techniques and controls". Interesting from start. This is a patch made with lessons from chapter 5. 20 modules involved. The ending is just modular freak-out. . . Whit the turn of one pot. . . Leading to some nice sound fx.

Synthesized train horn using moderately manipulated french horn ensemble library. The train sounds like it is coming toward the listener through pitch and volume effects. I removed the panning i originally made it with so you can manipulate that to your liking. This is offered with cc0, but if you can attribute, please do.

This wave file is prepared as a morphagene reel 48khz, 32 bit with markers (splices) for each sound. They're all tuned to c, they're stereo and have some reverb. It basically turns your morph into a synth voice that responds very well to 1v/oct. I am sure you're going to have fun with it.

While attempting to create a sick ass dubstep wob noise in rob papen's albino synth plugin, i managed to stumble across a telephone-like sound while pitching the filter cutoff on a weird shaped wave oscillator. I then put down the dubstep tune, and exported the noise with a gradual huge reverb at the end just for fun. I hope you enjoy it and i'd love to hear if someone uses it and in what context!. Originally made for the disquiet junto project 0433: "kit bits: create a kit’s worth of percussion samples. ". I used 1. Korg monotribe processed by a doepfer a-100. (bbd and a-199 spring reverb)the clock source is semi-randomized by an lfo and korg sq-1. Recorded with a zoom h-5 and transcoded with ocenaudio.

Note e. Atmospheric cinematic pad. I recorded the guitar, then processed a lot of reverb and added some synth sounds. You can put it in the sampler by setting the root note to e and you will have a complete instrument. I especially like to layer on it additionally the sounds of the waves that i put on my page before.

A space-ship laser firing sound with a retro-y 8-bit effect. My work, feel free to use in any way however you'd like. To make this, i used a synth in cubase to get the basic laser sound, then exported to garageband where i applied and tweaked the bitcrusher effect to give it the 8-bit effect.

Accompanying synth sounds created in pure data and used in another piece but on soloing and playback i decided this was nice standalone and might be suitable for remixing so i put on freesound, partly as though i've uploaded a couple of pieces i've downloaded more than contributed so i wanted to with this piece or snippet of pieces.
