A recording of me typing on my havit kb390l mechanical keyboard with kailh low profile blue switches in them. The clicky sound is produced by a clickbar inside the keyswitch which produces an audible click on both the down and upstroke, differing from normal mechanical keyboards which tend to only click on the downstroke. Recording taken with my blue yeti nano.

Dialling the number 0 on an old rotary phone. This recording has a slight pause inbetween dialling, and letting go, allowing for more freedom to tweak the timing yourself. This is a very lowfi recording of a xerox workcentre 7345 actually performing a copy of a single page. Includes a button beep at the start, fan noise, servo motor sounds, paper sorter moving sounds and lots of other mechanics being moved around. You really get an idea how complicated these modern machines are. . :). The bitrate is only 13 kbit/s and the resulting audio quality not very good, but the file size is really small. Maybe audio level needs normalizing, though.

Here are some percussive sounds of a thermal mug. I've put hot water in it, shaked it and pressed the valce button to release the pressurized air (that's the first pop). Then opening and closing it again several times. Nice percussive samples to cut out from this. Recorded with zoom h2.

This is what background noise sounds like when you, first set your recording to automatically reduce noise, except to get this sound, put mic on sensitive, then increase the volume. Voila! computer noise!.

This is full sequence of music-box in tea can with screweing up(?) until full stop. It's gift-set of tin box with tea and onboard music box. First i'm winding up music box, put box on the table, then it plays until full stop. This audio recorded with sony mobile communications audio recorder (android) on nexus 4 in pcm wav. Then it was slightly edited with audacity - tiny noise reduction and equalisation (boost frequencies below ~400 hz, lowered frequencies higher than ~2500 hz).

The sound of me attaching and deattaching two of my lenses to my pentax k-x which are the 18-55mm kit lens first and then my 80-200mm sears lens next. It was i believe five times for each lens. Recorded with the audio technica atr 6550.

My vcr rewinding a vhs tape. Sounds pretty gnarly at the end. Recorded with a jm27 into my zoom h4n. As a side note, this sound was a real pain to record. Every time i set up the mic, it seemed like the ac would come on, the dog would bark, or some other sound would ruin the recording. Whatever, i got it done.

Refrigerator - motor.

A sound i made by stretching and reversing vocals.

Recording taken from a train at about 20 feet away. It was very windy, so consequently, the majority of the track was very much ruined. There is a small click near half-way, caused by a brief release of steam. It might prove annoying if you are planning on looping it. There is also not an even right/left balance throughout, due to my movement to avoid the wind.
