For this sound i make a sawtooth tone with a wah wah effect and then i add a phaser to make this spawning sound. To make this sound more sci-fi, i chose to add some reverb to create more space around the sound and a fade out at the end.

Please rate if you like this sound :). This is my voice. I was trying to recreate a similar sound to those of the shrieking nazgul creatures in lord of the rings. They are referred to as different things but overall a creepy, evil, raspy, breathy type screeching sound. I created this with a type of practiced scream on a blue yeti usb condenser microphone. I recorded in audacity and added some reverb, fade in, and fade out. It was originally for a video game voice over audition. I also have the original with no fx if needed. My example/inspiration were the creatures in lord of the rings, fellowship of the ring. They are also called the fell riders and the black wings (when they ride the fell beasts), as well as the shadows, the servants of sauron, and the nine servants of the lord of the rings. This sound was the result of a scary accident. I was looking at the view in the webcam of an open doorway leading into a dark hallway in my house, when suddenly this haunting feedback faded in and looped repeatedly, until i pulled the volume down. It was unexpected, and quite unnerving. I had to laugh about it once i realized what had happened. But that first moment had me expecting some ghostly apparition to come in from the darkness. Anyhow, it's just an accidental feedback loop. I've had it in my archives for about 20 years now. I thought it might be useful to someone else. Enjoy!.
