Well, this was a happy accident. I was trying to record my neighborhood with birds, etc, but of course living in los angeles that was practically impossible, so instead i captured this great airplane passing directly overhead. Recorded with: audio technica bp 4025, sound devices 702t.

Distant fireworks as heard from all around, recorded with a sony pcm d100, from a balcony on 11th floor. No human cheering.

This is a recording i made with my h4n while on exercise at meaford training centre, with an artillery unit. It features 5 mortars firing multiple rounds. In the back ground, you can hear fire orders being issued over the radio, as well as individual detachment commanders giving orders to their gunners.

Sounds like the uplift to the drop of an edm track, but can also be used as a firework sound effect, or for a bomb dropping. Created using a low-passed square wave, over-compressing it, distorting it, playing 2 notes a semitone apart and pitch shifting.

This is the sound of the brood x cicadas. Close up, the cicadas have a sharper chitinous rattle. But more often the experience was a diffuse drone which was audible throughout washington, dc in may and june 2021. This recording was taken in fort slocum park, june 3, 2021. I generated this sound for a scene of a short video in which a zombie attacks my friend. It's a loud burst of roars and snarls, altered using audacity. I recorded myself doing my best zombie voice, then i lowered the pitch, boosted the bass, and added a phaser to make it more wet and added some feedback. I hope you find it useful!.
