This is a single cricket next to my building in williamsburg brooklyn, nyc. This was recorded at night with some ambient traffic sound. Loud, clear cricket sound. Recorded with shure mv88 in mid-side, converted to stereo. Cricket is slightly off center to the l side.

This is a first attempt to record sound underwater, i build a small hydrophone according to the instruction gave us by digifishmusic, i could probably make it better but all considered i'm pleased whit it. The hydrophone was placed in a small river near where i live, just below the water surface but unfortunately it kept bouncing against the rocks so it's a bit noisy. Enjoy!.

When my band was allowed to record after-hours in an industrial space in west oakland, i took the opportunity to show up early to record some of the machines in action.
