Recorded from my balcony at about 23 hundred hours on new year's eve in 2012. Mostly sounds of fireworks which echo from neighbouring buildings and water dripping in nearby gutter. Some distant human voices and traffic noise. Recorded with a zoom h1 portable stereo recorder.

I recorded myself singing in the tunnel that connects the buildings on the minnesota state capitol complex. This is the first measure of music in the kyrie mass in g minor, which is usually sang by a chorus in a cathedral environment. The tunnel makes it sound exactly like i'm singing in a church.

I live next to a car repair place and they have a couple of hot rods that they fire up now and then. This is a '55 chevy and to me the idle sounds like a dragon breathing. I revolve the power generator handle. Our country has recently got a huge punch out of the ocean. We lost many people, many buildings, factories, and power plants, which caused electricity shortage. We have at least one black-out everyday, and i turn the generating handle of a radio ( sony icf-b01, an emergency radio equipped with lights) for having supper in the dark. Recorded on september 4, 2020 on an ipad. Some parts or maybe even all of it may sound like just noise to some people. It was recorded in a government fenced in square. So there are buildings on 3 sides of my location and a gated entrance at the front. It is mainly drums that are played for a dragon dance. These dances are performed at special occasions, such as a new business opening. There is a troop of about 8 people there to perform the dance. For the first half of the recording, the two dragons (four people) were preparing and they were actually performing the dance for the second half of this recording.
