251 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Compressor"

This is a completely custom kick i made from scratch using a drum synthesizer and also mixed and edited with a waves puigtech eq modeled after the famous pultec eq and a waves puigchild compressor modeled after the famous $30,000 fairchild compressor. The sample rate is 24 bit/48k and a headroom of -6 or 3db i cant quite remember but nonetheless more than under clipping. This morning i woke up to the sound of a city crew jackhammering concrete just outside my window. I grabbed my h2 and recorded for a while. This file is an edit of the full recording. It contains two bursts of jackhammering, one fairly short and one longer. The background noise is the sound of the air compressor. Toward the end the compressor is turned off and the last of the pressure is released by the jackhammer as it sort of "putters out". This last bit is a bit unique.

Egg timer - three long turns, three short turns, alarm on egg timer goes off. Timer ticking occurs between turns. 44. 1khz 16bit mono. Neumann tlm103 through yamaha mg10/2 mixer and rnc1773 compressor into computer.

Gas boiler in my kitchen starts up, you can hear the piezo ignition inflaming the gas and the subsequent burning gas. This version is processed (compressor, eq). Recording by a zoom h2n.

My original dw toms, mixed with themselves 1 octave up [the octave up is lowered -6db and the envelope reshaped to allow loud only the attack]. Then for that resulting mixdow again the same thing [so i used the same method two times]. At all steps i was using the simple compressor[not multiband] for not allowing overlimiting. For the two general mixdowns [because it was a double process] i used hard compressor at -0. 45 dbs. And for the two octavic parallel channels i used hard compressor -3. 60 dbsbecause the octave doesn't sound realistic if not well compressed. For all my dw octavic tomsed i used the same exact method. My original dw toms are here if you want to read data or mics. These toms do not sound realistic as stand alone sounds. These harmonics work better only in a complete mixdown, and have increased audibility than the original recordings [for silent music parts use the original because low velocity of parallel instruments will expose the supportive tom-harmonics].

The sound is going through zoom ms-70cdr. I use the "particer" reverb program. It acts like a compressor and limiter too. . . Kills the dynamics of the modular. Nice anyway - or not. . . And i use the ladik r-330 reverb too.

This sound was created in audition by using three sample tracks with altered pitches for the sound of the timer countdown. I used an altered 8 bit sample for the explosion, bringing out the low range and lowering the high range with a 30 band compressor.

The sound of summer in japan. Surrounded by cicadas everywhere in the quiet grounds of sanno hie jinja in akasaka, tokyo i recorded this with 4 mics. Mixed it down and ran it through a compressor/limiter.

Kick drum created by merging, individual equalizing and compressing two others very different kicks. It works effectivly creating new kick drums superimposing the lower frequencies of one and the higher frequencies from another. Then group then and compress in order to melt them as they sound as one.

A broken fridge at a place i work sometimes. Starts off sounding normal enough but then slowly starts going crazy, i'm no refrigeration expert but i'm pretty sure there's something wrong here. Made me jump when it makes that first noise :p.

Inspired by a drawing posted on airradsirens. Com some time ago, a huge siren that is a hybrid of a thunderbolt and a hurricane siren, supercharged by a large industrial air compressor. You do not want to be anywhere close to this beast when it goes off!.
