During a recent wandering in one of the many woods around me i found this wonderful small creek which, even though small, had a nice flow to it thanks to some recent rain. As i sat down to record the soothing sound of the riffles, a group of chickadees decided to come check me out. Enjoy.

A recording of an eastern phoebe, made near a creek in a typical midwest oak/hickory/sycamore forest. This very unique, two-note call, which you may have heard before, is, in my opinion, very beautiful despite it's short duration. Despite this bird's non-colorful plumage, his song makes up for it!. Recording made on april 10th, 2013 around 6:45 in the morning about 15 feet from a small creek. My recorder, the zoom h4n, was mounted on a tripod in the middle of the creek. I was using the h4n's built-in microphones. Volume level was 80 (on a scale of 100 being the maximum).

Recorded at a storm sewer grating at shaw st & manchester ave in toronto's seaton village neighbourhood, on 24 apr 2012. The surface drainage in this section of the city was once carried by the lost garrison creek, and so this might be the sound of the lost creek's waters. Here's a recording made in saint-urbain (charlevoix) pq, canada in the forest a morning of august 2014. You can hear grasshoppers, crickets, wasps and a creek in the background. This recording was made with a sound devices usbpre2 into a tascam dr-680 (spdif) and 2 microphones studio project c1 in ortf stereo pattern. It's in 24 bits 96khz , 40hz low cut.

I recorded swallows flying over a creek. You can hear the occasional car pass in the background and a little bit of wind rustling the microphone.

In spring as the ice was thawing, i sat beside a rapidly flowing stream. The water rushed quickly over a tiny waterfall sounding cold and quick and light.

A recording of the small eiderbach brook flowing through the eiderbachtal in rhineland-palatinate. Occasional birdsong can be heard. The recording was taken at an idyllic spot where the small creek flows over pebbles and around rocks, in the dense vegetation of trees and bushes. The recording was made on 3th july 2022 at 11:40 am with my huawei p10 lite, no additional processing was applied.

A "koski" is a shallow of a river where water flows more rapidly. This is a loopable field recording with zoom h4n ( 2 of 3).
