I went to a horror film festival and mostly got the music stuck in my head. This was one attempt to work it out. Not majorly successful but maybe useful to someone. As ever, made with edirol orchestral on cubase.

Produced in reasynth then rendered then pitch shifted. The quality was put to the absolute maximum (somewhat to ridiculous degrees) as to provide maximuim headroom for pitch-shifting, headroom and to stop a form of foldback aliasing in sound from occuring - sustaining fidelity.

I created a witch voice saying, "hells bells, i think i've lost my broom again"! i used adobe audition and tinkered with the pitch and added slight echo. If you like it, please leave a comment. If you don't, let me know why.

So yeah i decided to do an impression of @reitanna 's character annatier. And i did one of her lines from her reitanna fictions called annatier's descent and all of this was edited and recorded on audacity and annatier rightfully belongs to reitanna.

I made this in cubase, its pretty creepy.

Horror birds - morning birds recorded with h2n, cloned to 4 tracks in audacity, pitch shifted by various amounts and one of the tracks paul-stretched and sped up. Mixed down but then removed lower frequencies (wind or traffic rumble became too noticeable). Normalized. Here's the result.

Inspired by a strange japanese number station i heard around 2012. I generated white noise, recorded an old toy, and found some public domain static and put it all together in this extremely eerie piece. It gets even creepier if you lower the pitch.

An alternative "riser" with a strong suspenseful atmos and cold metallic tones. Originally edited from a stretched and filtered sound of a bed frame being hit. I imagine, however macabre, the lasting shot of a character demise or a shocking sound cue for particularly transgressive notions.

Recorded some sounds, filtered out the noize, reversed it and put paulstretcher on it. Had to amplify the bass, because there was an incredibly awkward high-pitch sound in the background. I am actually really interested how and where you guys would use this sound, so feel free to post a link to your work in the comment section!.

A small music sample designed to create an eerie slow-motion effect. It can be looped but has a blank space at the end that would need to be cut off; you can request for me to do it and upload as a separate sound. Created on the music-making program "musescore"; contains bass drums and triangle.

A solo violin sample from edirol orchestral was used a base, using pitch bend and then layering against pitch shifted copies of the original. Then lots and lots and lots of reverb and maybe other effects. I spent way too long on this for no certain outcome but actually it was perfect for the radio drama i was theoretically producing it for.

I was showing my 1 year old my recording studio. He was laughing and talking so i recorded him to play it back. His reaction was as wonderful as i could have hoped. This was recorded in my home studio, on a cad e100s microphone. Recorded in audacity, i copied the clip, lowered the pitch, stretched, added reverb, and reversed the audio. I also normalized to -3db.

A very creepy sound loop created using an old music box, a usb studio condenser and mixcraft 5. (recorded and altered on march 28, 2017. ).

This sound was very simple to make. I just took the sound of an opera singer singing a scale and added reverb to it. Nothing more, nothing less. The sound does not have to bee used for just ghosts, but pretty much anything. Like an opera singing in the shower. By the way, this sound was used in a song that i made. What if we could hear sounds from another planet ?. In this imaginary place, people can visit zoos under water. Here is the sound of a yhtem, recorded by a visitor from inside his personal submarine. The recording device was found by a member of the zoo staff, as it was floating over the water. It gave no more informations about what happened to the visitor, except that according to several monster's specialists, the yhtem « sounded hungry ». In the real world, this sound was created using the sound of a very brief scream. At the background was a noisy street, and some cars were passing by. I used two different screams and mixed them, before decreasing speed and tempo in audacity. -. Xson « cannelé ». Le son « d'arrière plan » est étouffé, plutôt doux, mais il y a des « accents » rugueux, acides, lors du grognement. L'attaque est graduelle. On distingue quelques notes, différentes hauteurs. Variation scalaire.
