Used for opening and closing of any curtains mainly old ones that still have a bit of a grind effect to it.

Window blinds.

Drawing curtains: in the sound you hear curtains being drawn from one side to the other giving a harsh "shhhhhh" sound. There are different variations in the speed in which the curtains are drawn as well. Recorded using the zoomh4n and using the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. A low shelf was added to this sound to cancel some handling issues.

This is a raw recording of a plastic shower curtain. The motions vary from grabbing to touching and, pulling. I recorded this with my smartphone as i needed to dub it into a film that i was designing. I manipulated part of the raw recording, and it sounds awesome in the mix. There is a little bit of wind sound made by the mass of water falling into the shower tub. At the end of the track you can hear me putting away the shower curtain. Recorded with olympus ls-3 two stereo microphones, one bass (middle) microphone. 96hz, 24bit.

I recorded this with my yamaha pocketrak at the paramount theater in seattle on feb. 29th, 2016 with one track duplication. This is the applause for stewart copeland and the seattle rock orchestra. Copeland scored the music for the silent version of 'ben hur' and the show was great as you can hear from the final applause. I was recording wind that blows in my window, but the zoom h2 placed on a (cheap) mic stand after some time started to bend itself downwards. It hit the curtain/drape in my window and rubbed itself against it until reached the lowest position - the mic stands arm stopped gently as it started. This produced a very interesting sound that i totally didn't expect to find on the recording. Edited with audacity.

A shower is turned on and a person starts whistling while showering. After a while the shower is turned of and you hear a sound from the shower curtain.

This is a very quick and dirty lo-fi recording of a very unsettling noise i am currently hearing outside of my 2nd story bedroom window. I have no clue what it could be. I have lived here for over a decade and never heard this sound. It's like wind, but it keeps fading in and disappearing again. When it starts, it sounding like very rapid, almost whistling, shallow breathing. I can't imagine what is making this sound, but it's pretty unnerving, and i'm too creeped out to open the curtains. I'm hoping someone can recognize this and tell me what this is because i'm starting to get very uncomfortable after about 10 minutes of hearing this on and off again. I am attempting to record it as it happens, so i've got several recorded instances of this if you want to hear more of it.

The chain: technics hifi-system, multi-cone speakers, audix reference microphone, focusrite preamps. To use it like intended, just load this file into a convolution plugin in your master insert. You'll hear your mix like sitting. . . Well. . . In my living room. It'll sound muffled to you, that's because i captured the ir and all the reflections with an omni-directional mic and i have thick curtains ;-dof course it can be used as a really, really nice and natural-sounding ambience ir, too. Use it as an aux-reverb).

Recorded a clap in my bathroom with no shower door or curtain with a zoom zh1 @ 96khz 32bit, denoised with izotope rx, flattened spectrum slightly by matching with pink noise.

Taken in the historic center of montpellierfootsteps on pavement, girls passing by talking & laughing, distant female voice singing, a squeaking iron curtain. Recorded w/ a sharp md mt190 and a sony ecm ms907 mic. No editing.

This is the sound of my alarm clock beeping. In my opinion, it's one of the worst alarm clock sounds in the world, with a horrible, grating alarm sound. Sorry about the part where i yell at my crew, and the dialogue about the shower curtain. Also when i say "yeah, bitches. " it had been a long day on set.
