Field-recording of a forest in marata. Some birds sounds and dogs barking can be heard in the distance. Recorded with my mobile phone with a shure mv88 on july 2015. This sound has a matched recording 'forest ambience - h4n' with the same recording made at the same exact place and time with a zoom h4n.
Lots of nighttime traffic and in the first two minutes, several loud vehicles pass and you hear three loud reports of distant fireworks followed by distant barking. There's about three more minutes of traffic and then the noise dies down to neighborhood hum in the last 45 seconds.
Dawn (5am) with city rumble at the distance. Birds in foreground. Some dogs bark far away. Some distant city traffic. Stereo sound. Recorded with zoom h4n-pro 48 khz / 24 bit. Recorded with a sony ecm stereo microphone. It's hard to tell what this slam is, which makes it very versatile. I'm pretty sure, however, that it is in fact a distant car door slam.
Four quiet clangs, recording in a brick stairwell. I hit the metal railing of the staircase and let the sound ring. Sounds kind of eerie and distant, like something you'd hear in a factory or maybe on a big iron ship or submarine. Recorded with a zoom h4n.
