More street sounds from the night after a tornado in a residential neighborhood: distant sirens, the patter of light rain down a metal gutter spout, close voices of college students talking and laughing, and a single somewhat plaintive cry from a house cat.

Street sounds a few hours after a tornado: police/fire rescue radio chatter, voices of college kids chatting and laughing, a far distant generator humming, far-off sirens as well as large equipment beeps and some pattering, tricking rainwater in a downspout.

Distant sirens in the last half of the recording. Some distant traffic noise, and a couple of cars passing close. I didn't notice until afterwards that i had the recorder set in mp3 format. Given another chance i'd redo as a 48/24 wav, but it doesn't rain all that often here, and the quality on this recording is still very good, 192kbps. Zoom h4n - mp3 - 44. 1/16.

Over 3 minutes of loud motorcycles streaming by revving their engines plus sirens and horns during an insane motorcade of bikes and choppers that temporarily took over streets of the westside highway. Sirens are not police but are from bikes in the motorcade. A light thunderstorm in carrboro, nc. Not too much wind or heavy rain, but some very good thunder claps. As the thunder slowly fades away, some distant traffic and a siren can be heard. Recorded on a zoom h2. This was uploaded as vorbis instead of flac or wav because it's quite long but i thought people might find it useful to have the whole thing. Some intelligent de-clipping was also performed in audacity to remove some slight distortion from the loudest claps.
