Was trying to do some audio work when a storm blew in. So i stretched the cord out the door and caught it on a whim. Enjoy!.

Rain falling softly into a puddle of rainwater by my back basement door. Some peals of thunder can also be heard softly in the background. Recorded fairly close.

Recorded with a sony ecm stereo microphone. It's hard to tell what this slam is, which makes it very versatile. I'm pretty sure, however, that it is in fact a distant car door slam.

Xy stereo recording from gärdet subway station in stockholm. This focuses on an older trains doors, various steams and similar "heavy" sound elements. In post: edited in pro tools with som bass cutting (eq) and automation to make some sounds stand out but still sound realistic. Put on a light compressor and pich-shifted down some elements to give more depth. This was in someway inspired by "dead space" tram and door sounds but slightly less "massive" and haunting. Ps. There's 2 versions of this recording. The one with "nr" in the title is noise reduced so sounds like the doors and steam are somewhat separated from the background. Hope you like it.

In this sound i am leaving the office, opening a set of doors and walking outside to the sound of rush-hour traffic going by. You can hear the sound change from the reception area indoors to the loud outdoor sound of traffic. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder. I accidentally recorded this sequence when i left my camcorder on while filming some drawing tutorials. My warehouse style studio is in the inner city at street level opening onto a street closure/park so you will hear some faint bird tweeting in the background. Near the beginning and end there is the sound of a large industrial sliding door and the loud clanging is a drop bolt on an external metal security grill gate. Wind blown chimes add to the scene. I only applied a very low level audio clean-up using adobe soundbooth cs3 to reduce hiss.

Recorded in a classroom of 16 people, half male and half female, using an sm57 microphone. Also, there is a door shutting at the end. Watch out for that.

Just good hard rain! no lightening or thunder. . Just solid rain pounding on the concrete outside my door. . I mean - it was flooding! made for some great sound though!!.

I was on my way to a meeting a few doors down from this intersection and there was some nice sounds happening, it's in the late morning and so people are hard at work and moving around and doing their thing. There's some cool door chimes, trucks, traffic, random conversations, etc.

I have so many sounds, i overlook stuff. Someone may find a use for this. Someone enters my shared apartment and i don't know who it is, or to whom the heavy footsteps belong. Doesn't matter, i'm in the bathroom, all i have is a towel and there wouldn't be time to any more than get to it. I prefer to select who sees me that way. Usually. So, i run to latch the door.

Door to stairwell opens and closes and someone walks up two sets of stairs, the first one slighty faster than the second. Then another door is opened and the walker enters an office where music is playing very softly and there's a bit of an office din. The office portion can also sound like entering a hotel lobby or outer waiting area of a symphony orchestra concert. The stairwell is concrete and metal. It's very echo-y. Recorded on a samsung galaxy s3.

A door is trying to keep itself closed with a strong wind (very fast thanks to the mountain). You can notice the cracks: it's old, more than 30 years old. I left a wall clock running by mistake, but i think it can't be noticed. If you do and don't want it, i have another recording with it stopped (same name, number 2). Recorded with a zoom h4n.
