Driving a japanese sedan over rumble strips on a paved road. The zoomp-zoomp-zoomp sound is designed to warn of an upcoming intersection stop. The car stops, you can hear summer cicadas rising, then the automobile accelerates.
This is the sound of a kubota three-cylinder diesel. Between 57 seconds and 1:15 it was being driven. The low speed was 600 rpm and it only goes to 2500, a surprise to me. They made me drive it in "turtle. " i was not trusted with "bunny. ".

A gathering of small birds chattering in a bush outside my house, chattering to each other. Some wind noise, wind chimes and (unfortunately) the vibration noise of the minidisc recorder drive spinning are all clearly audible at various points.

Garbage truck transferring the contents of a metal dumpster. Lots of clanging and banging. Truck then drives off down the alley. Recorded pre-dawn so almost no other urban sound pollution.
