This recording was made as part of a class exercise, sound and acoustic sketching course. It was part of a sound walk starting in the meditation hut in my back garden down the back lane passing a electricity sub generator and playing children.

Foley audio of passing cars on a country lane. Cars passed behind the direction the camera was facing. There's a mild stabilisation noise you may hear which could detriment your audio if not removed. Other than this, the sound is eloquent enough. Oin camera mic has been used from a canon 7d with no wind filter. Recorded in burnley, lancashire.

A field recording i made. The original file was about 3 hours long, i just cut a cool piece out and uploaded it :: gear: one røde nt-1a (right channel) and one shure 8700 (left channel; eq-based hiss reduction) :: setup: both microphones were mounted next to each other with an offset of about 2. 5 meters :: the preamp for the nt1-a was the on-board preamp of the yamaha mg16/4 mixing console. Perfect walking sound effect. Sound of several people walking buy on a hard surface with hard shoes. You can hear the sound reverberating off the walls and solid flooring.

Walking through covent garden in london from covent garden underground station to drury lane.

This sound effect was captured by me on video on my canon digital powershot a460 camera, i stood just above the motorway at charing cross glasgow scotland and captured this sound from the jam packed motorway, both sides were busy, i even caught the sound of a police car coming along the hard shoulder. I simply took the sound from my video.
