A high-quality recording of a quiet day on the steps in front of the st. Ursen cathedral in solothurn, switzerland. You can hear the two fountains which build the background sound. Also, there are tourists and swiss people walking nearby and talking. The sound was recorded in 24bit on a professional zoom recorder with the xyh-5 stereo microphone. For postprocessing, only unwanted noises were cut from the recording and the overall sound level was raised.

My first little attempt at making some film-like sound effects. Alot of bass in this one, tried to cut it below 30-50hz. I just want to point out to the people having a listen, that the sample that streams on the website has a small static-like noise in it. . The download version will not have this noise, i believe the compression for streaming degraded the sound a bit.

An m4 carbine being fired in short bursts, great for supressive fire. Created in audacity by taking a. 223 gunshot (recorded on a private firing range), adding more bass and amplifying the sound, and then adding shells dropping by adding in the sound of rattling silverware, and finally adding a bit of echo to finish it off. Features that heavy bass thump of a powerful assault rifle with shells ejecting and falling to the ground. I couldn't find any other sound quite like this so i created one. Enjoy!.

Another "shoegazey" clip using guitar though many pedals (boss xtortion > danelectro eq > boss me-30 (no effects on, but working as a slight boost) > eh small stone > korg ax3g (on a pitch/harmonizer setting) > boss dd-20 > behringer ultra vibrato > alesis nanoverb > mixer > soundcard. ) it's kind of similar to the beginning of "souvlaki space station", but it is in no way an approximate recreation (or even the same notes, i'm sure) of it. I messed around with levels and soundcard settings and was able to get a much cleaner, less distorted recording (compared to the guitar drone sample uploaded previously. ).

This is a small jam i recorded myself on my diy spring reverb circuit i've built for a friend. It sounds really good with music. In this session, i've only used coninuous triangle/sine/square waveforms and jammed on my for pots: input gain,hp filter cutoff, feedback amount, output gain. I'm sorry if the recording clips sometimes, but there's a big dynamic so i couldnt see how much loud it was. Feel free to take it and use it for sampling or sound design layering.

An aural echo of days of gentle hippiedom. An accidental discovery as a result of feeding ni massive through flstudio's effector vst. An x-y controller is attached to effector with asychronous ramping of the x and y gains via two control tracks. Strangely produces phantom instrument sounds, almost like guitar and organ. Created in flstudio 11 with ni massive, flstudio effector, reverb, compression and eq. The note track is made by me for no good reason - i just thought it sounded pretty. *there is, now, a longer version on my harddrive.

A slinky spring toy stretched out and plucked once from the end, recorded with a zeppelin design labs cortado impedance-matched piezo contact microphone. The resulting recording is a classic spring-based sci-fi "laser sound" with a massive, lengthy, rumbling decay tail. This was recorded at 24 bit 96 khz. In addition to its use as a sound effect, this waveform works well inside a convolution reverb as an offbeat spring reverb impulse response, provided one has the processor power and ram to support a 2 minute 13 second convolution. The cortado's bass response is exceptionally large for a contact mic, so high pass filtering may be desired if used as an impulse response.

Sound recording of a two tier mini waterfall into my small fish pond. Recorded with a tascam dr-07 mk ii. 24 bit, 44. 1 khz, stereo. First 10 seconds is the raw recording. Note the 60 hz hum due to the water pump being just under the water fall splash area. The last 20 seconds is the processed audio using ableton live 8 affects rack and the following affects. 1. Notch filter – 60 hz applied two times. 2. Lp filter –knee at 1 khz3. Hp filter-knee at about 3. 2 khz4. Granular delay – bubbling sound5. Chorus audio effect-snap, crackly sound. 6. This recording was taken from the balcony of an apartment in johor bahru malaysia on september 30th 2022 at about 1:30pm. It was monsoon season but not raining and the weather was hazy and muggy. The recording features the drone of a busy city punctuated by a whippersnipper, a building site, birds, a light aeroplane and car horns. At around the 4:30 mark there's two loud motorcycles that race each other and echo around the city in a most glorious way. The recording was made with the inbuilt stereo microphones of a zoom h5 portable recorder.

Ambient recording of the courtyard in my apartment complex. The are two story brick buildings, next to a main road, border-line highway. The traffic light means that the birds and neighbor's dog start predominant, then are taken over by the rush of traffic as the light changes to green. A sunny day, but clouds are in the distance, as an impending storm is about to roll in. The whining dog seems to share his sentiment about the dark clouds. Recorded with a zoom h6, stereo xy adapter set to 120 degree spread. Set up through a wide open window as to cut down on wind noise.

This underwater breathing was created in audacity. To create this sound i generated 2 tracks rhythms on 2 different mono tracks. For the breathing i created a rhythm "click noise" and added the effect "paulstrech". I deleted some moments of silences. I tried to simulate a heartbeat. I generated a rhythm tracks "noise click" and added the effect "echo". I selected in the track a sound wich looks like to a beat, cut the remain and add the repeated effect on the selected moment. Here it is! my first ever submission on freesound! i decided to start this all out with a bang, and post something really cool that i'm proud of making. I'm not sure exactly what this creature was supposed to be. I'll leave that up to your imaginations. How it was made:. Software: fl studio 20. Plugin(s): serum, valhallaroom, ott, fruity parametric eq 2, and fruity delay 2. This was made completely with synthesizers. I used serum for the main synth, made copies of it, and modified each of them to sound unique from the other. I'd try to explain how the synth was made, but there's a lot of stuff. To process it, i used ott to make it sound more powerful and clear, eq to get the frequencies and texture right, delay with a low pass filter to get that outdoors echo feel, and valhalla room for the reverb. This started out as a good idea for one of my projects but began to have a life of it's own as i rolled up my sleeves and fussed over every detail. As you will hear, this sound file/track embraces panning like their is no tomorrow. You should be able to fold your sounds into it. Either snaking through it with your own panning sounds, or laying your sounds straight down the middle. - you should find several looping points within the 2:28 runtime. Most of the sounds i upload are from songs where i have lost my direction. In sharing them here, i hope someone can pick them up and make them part of something beautiful. I would love to hear what you make of them as it will be a source of inspiration to me. To see the possibilities beyond my own horizon. Everything starts off as a soundbridge project. I occasionally use aria maestosa for midi composition as the sounds are basic and pure. Audacity can't be beat when it comes to clipping. Engine dj is my library manager.

A nice wet-themed ambiance of early spring in a small midwestern town in the us. The spring peepers dominate, always in the background. The american toads trill off and on (:38----1:04, 2:09-----2:31, 5:50----6:07, 6:25----6:40)there is also a distant dog bark, with echo at 3:31. Distant car horn at 3:57. Since this was recorded on a busy weeknight at 7pm, a lot of distant car doors and people picking up and dropping off kiddos for basketball practice, choir practice and other ancient extracurricular activities. There is a particularly good door open and slam and muted conversations at 6:43 to 6:56 and again at 7:17stereo recording made on thursday night march 29th, 2018 using a sound devices 702 and an audiotechnica bp4025 stereo microphone. The original was recorded at the very high sample rate of 196hz. Enjoy a town winding down and internalizing on a cold, drippy wet night in either very late winter, or very early spring.

Pistol fired outdoors with ricochet. Single shot, fairly close, with fast fadeout. Narrow stereo image, no panning, almost monophonic. Wholly synthesized. No weapon was fired in the making of this sound. It's an emulated sound effect of a sidearm gunshot with a cliche ricochet sound, like in the vintage western movies and ww2 films that they showed on tv when i was a kid. Can be used in a game, perhaps, or a none-too-serious vidclip. The sound of the pistol cartridge explosion is default flstudio kick, clap and snare slowed right down. A single tap of delay is added to lend an impression of echo off a middle distance hard surface. The ricochet noise was made with sytrus running as a vsti inside flstudio. It took an entire day of head scratching, oscillator tweaking and envelope mangling to get something that reasonably resembles a sound that i recall from the old movies. I think i'll shoot myself before i try something like this again. :). Plus the usual flstudio compressors, eq, reverb and delay - nothing tricky, just standard stuff.

Shell casings being dropped onto a tiled floor. I got some shell casings from a local shooting range and recorded the sound of various sized casings bouncing on a tiled floor. I used a usb condenser mic (samson co1u pro) with audacity. The section of floor i dropped the shells onto was surrounded by acoustic panels to dampen the echos. A couple times the casing bounced into the mic stand, but i've left them in because they're still useful. There was some background noise caused by my computer which i removed with audacity.
