A recording made in july around 7:00 at night near a huge man-made lake. The ever-present insects are there, but overshadowed by the peepers. 13 seconds in a dog barks off in the distance and the echo is just incredible. 24 seconds into the recording is the classic call of the red-wing blackbird. Made with samson c0-2 stereo microphones feeding a zoom h4n recorder.

This is the first recording i made with my zoom h1 (probably will be making more soon). I made it from my balcony, late afternoon - there is a large playground surrounded with 4 four-storied blocks, so there's a great echo. The birds are very noisy at this time of day here and kids as well. There are also some distinct parents talking in the background. Recorded in small town in poland.

Piano lid gently taps as it is opened and rests against the upper front board. Organic reverberations can also faintly be heard from the detuned strings. Possibly could be used for something interesting, it has a wooden bass drum sound. 100+ year old upright piano, microphone placed directly inside. (sample 1 of 4).

For this sound, i generated a square wave at a frequency of 440 hz and an amplitude of 0. 80 and a duration of 1 second. I choosed the following effects:1- wahwah with frequency f=1. 5hz , amplitude= 70 %, resonance = 2. 5 and offset frequency = 30%2. Repeat3- compressor (x2)4- fade in (half of the sound)5- fade out ( the other half of the sound)6 - phaser with 10 phases7 - paulstretch with the stretching factor=5 and resolution = 0. 258- echo with 1 second delay , decay factor=0. 59 - cut (to arrange the sound). After all this effects, the sound is like a sound recorded in space with echos.

Accordion player on a sidewalk of the japanese quarter liberdade, sao paulo, brazil. He plays and sings a popular tune of the interior region of north-eastern brazil, the so-called sertão, using a sound system with a strong echo effect. In the background one can hear the traffic sound of a big city, pedestrians walking by and talking.

played live - getting some cool trippy sounds out of a little circuit i built. Jammin on the 60hz hum! i think my body was an acting as an antenna for that ubiquitous drone as i laid my hands on the device. Reminds me of certain early progpsy tunes, c. 1999. Really creates some interesting moods with a little echo. Enjoy!.

Recorded this while going to the loo in a camping trip. The door was pretty creaky so i decided to record it because it could be a good sound effect. Of course i didn't have any equipment with me so the sound was recorded on my phone, which is why it's a bit echoey and shabby. Feel free to use however you please, you don't even need to credit me! :).

Iphone recording of a group of people sitting in a theatre in downtown boston, ma, prior to a film screening. The room was perfectly tempered and acoustically treated, and people were talking at a relatively normal level without echo or reverberation. It was too good to pass up recording it. At first, there are people talking near by, but towards the end, i am further back and the group chatter effect can be noticed in whole.

Conte d’étéi generated 2 tracks of freesound. Audio track 1: import of the sound « beach waves close » audio track 2: import of the sound « seagull on beach ». I wanted to reproduce the atmosphere of saint-malo when the weather is gloomy in summer. I would like to give the impression that the sound is endless. For the audio track song of seagulls, i added several effects :⁃ echo effect (1%),⁃ phaser effect (2%),- duplicate,⁃ fade out closing,.

All i did is that i recorded and played a little riff on my violin with my ipad, and then add some reverb, and delay effects in audacity. (very eerie-like, but pretty). This kind of reverb used in the beginning and end of the riff is a cathedral room-like sound, and a few seconds of delay. I used mostly double-stops during the riff. Enjoy.

This is not the greatest recording ever, but you may find some use for it. Single player dribbling a basketball in an open gym. Some of the dribbling is deliberate and slow, other dribbling a more regular pace. This was recorded in an open gym so there is no ambient sound of crowds or other people other than the hum of the gym lights.

Sounds recorded by me for my previous indie film. Weapons are live and firing blanks from different locations as part of the movie making process. Various echoes and other sound qualities reflect where the shooter is compared to the sound recorder. Sounds with street echo are particularly useful in sound design of street shootouts with automatic weapons. Weapon id: heckler & koch mp5a3 - 9mm.

The sound is a guitar drone. Effects used: light distortion > eq > pitch shifter/harmonizer on multi-effect > delay on a second multi-effect > more delay > vibrato > reverb. ) direct to soundcard, edited w/ compression and fading on the beginning/end to hide "loop clicks". Sound is a bit distorted in parts due to peaking from the reverb (i guess). . . Meant to imitate shoegaze-style guitar drones. . . If i had a proper amp it might sound better!.

My friend and i had rented a minimoog model d (c1977, not the reissue). We were jamming out some ambient-type sounds, and my mate is just getting lovely tones out the moog, going through a deluxe memory man echo/chorus/vibrato for extra analogue niceness. Listen as he goes full-on john paul jones on in the light around the 50 second mark. Fell free to use in your productions and send me a message if you do!.

Door to stairwell opens and closes and someone walks up two sets of stairs, the first one slighty faster than the second. Then another door is opened and the walker enters an office where music is playing very softly and there's a bit of an office din. The office portion can also sound like entering a hotel lobby or outer waiting area of a symphony orchestra concert. The stairwell is concrete and metal. It's very echo-y. Recorded on a samsung galaxy s3.

Layered out of an sks, ak47, uzi and a snare drum with a metallic texture. A short decayed 808 kick drum is occupying the sub frequencies. A bolt mechanic layer added before and after the shot transient. Two echo/reverbs were added for the stereo width. Shell eject layer added. All layers grouped together and lightly compressed and saturated. Made in ableton live. Enjoy.

A series of 5 short, natural poots, aka. Farts, separated by about a half-second of silence. All natural and relatively good quality, ie. Low noise, no echo, etc. Recorded by the producer on different occasions and post-processed using audacity (equalization, amplification, noise-reduction) to achieve more consistent levels and fidelity. Recorded on a moto g5 plus (smartphone) using easy voice recorder (android). Cute > nasty?.

This is a nice clean recording of hard-rubber soled shoes running and walking up and down metal stairs in a concrete stairwell. It's reverberant, but clean. I hope it's useful to somebody. While attribution isn't necessary, i'd love to hear what you've used it in. Also, for anybody who's interested, it was actually recorded in the parking garage of universal studios in hollywood, ca. I've geo-tagged the exact building. ;-). Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

This is another spoopy long background music type thing i've thrown together with pitch shift and time stretch and echo. This one is a bit long to sit through and feels to me like it often needs more space in it, but i have no idea what i'm doing so i'm stuck with what i've got. For background creepy mood stuff there are definitely some good 30ish second stretches in there that are different enough from each other to suit somebody somewhere though, i'm sure.

Two tone siren that is used by all emergency service vehicles, including police, ambulance and fire department (in 2012) in the netherlands. This is not a recording of an actual siren, but generated by a synthesizer at the exact two frequencies that the siren consists of. For a realistic result it is suggested that you mix this with other background sounds and add your own doppler, echo, panning and other effects to suit your needs.

Semi-auto rifle simulation, created using zoom h1. Artificial gun shots to simulate a semi-auto weapon in battle. Mic capsules were tapped with a popsicle stick to create this sound. Sounds generated by assigning the "wave out" or "line out" signal of the soundcard to a track in fl, and turnin it up. This acts as a digital delay effect with infinite feedback and a very high cycle rate. Basically the noise (similar to pink noise) is produced by the soundcard and the resonance is produced by the low pass filter and the convolution reverb mapping of the waldassen cathedral.

Near where i do many of my favorite nature recordings there are train tracks which can ocassionally be very busy -- and yes, sometimes they have interfered with some of my nature recordings. But, recently i recorded the sound of the approaching train carrying loads of coal. It was around dusk and breezy -- melancholy combination. . . . I really love the echo of the whistle. . . . And as i listened i could not help but think about 100 years ago when trains were more common, amazing how things change. Well, here it is. Kvgarlic.

Here is the sound of a 50-caliber barrett rifle being fired. You'll first hear the sound of the bolt being pulled back. Really cool sound if you can listen on some nice big speakers. Recorded with my handy zoom h4n using a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. I was standing about 20 feet from the rifle, and i still have the input gain turned way down to about 30, just to make sure the circuitry was not overloaded. Also, since this was in a big, wide-open field, you get a nice echo.

A fascinating recording of a warm, humid mid august day in the midwest. This recording was made on sunday august 11th, 2019 near a popular dog park in a small southern illinois town. In addition to the gentle droning of the insects, and occassional birds, you will hear some dogs barking at various times toward the end of the piece. I personally love the tremendous echo on this recording. Equipment used: sounddevices mixpre-6. Microphones: left channel, sennheiser mkh416right channel, rode ntg-2.

Just me screaming in pain! (it's cool, i wasn't actually hurt, i just needed a good old-fashioned yell. ). For those who are interested, it was recorded hastily on a blue yeti and edited in audacity. I recorded it in kind of a hurry because my parents ran to the store, and i wanted to get it all taken care of before they pulled in the drive so they didn't think i was getting murdered or whatever. This was just recorded in my living room, so sorry about that slight echo!.

A sound i made in audacity, basicly a chirp going down from about 500 hz to 20 hz (with a fade-out to limit subwoofer use)and added some ambience by using white noise rumble on the background, also added a slight wah-wah as you might notice. Feel free to use it in a project as long as you give 'olaf gillot' credit. And of course 'freesound. Org' for having such an awesome website, with free hosting stuff :d!.

This is a recording of myself sleeping, beginning ~ 1:00 am local time (~ 3hrs after going to bed) on january 10th, 2020 (which i later discovered was a full moon). I was in the midst of experimenting with recording myself all night long out of curiosity, using a laptop placed near the head of my bed. This particular recording was the only anomalous one (the rest consisting mostly of just breathing or snoring with occasional sleep-talking). This ~2 hour recording has several interesting properties, which make it hard for me to believe that these sounds were actually going on while i was sleeping. On the other hand, i don't have a memory of editing this file if i did. Either way, i find it unsettling. I found the file in oct 2021 while organizing my samples. As far as i can remember, this is the original raw recording. On further inspection, i discovered that it has some additional peculiar properties that make it even harder to believe i could have made it without remembering doing so. The audio spans almost exactly 118min (7080s). There’s a frequency sweep with a cycle-length of 6480ms that repeats throughout the entire recording. Dividing the 118min by 6. 48min (60 cycles) results in 18 parts containing exactly 60 cycles and a remainder of 12 cycles. If you think you know the source of the strange sounds or if you've ever heard anything similar, please let me know in the comments or email me at storyofthelie@protonmail. Com. I collected the most interesting bits into this pack:https://freesound. Org/people/storyofthelie/packs/33653/. Bi-drum finale. This sound provides an impact point, an action conclusion suggestion. I combined two drum sound samples, one of the impact with a deep echo, and one a hollow wood tube strike against a hard object to a certain rhythm. The sound is somewhat like the primal drum sounds used in survivor. I used magix music maker, magix software gmbh (www. Magix. Com) with two object plug-ins; solar wood 6_ogg_001. A high-quality recording of a quiet day on the steps in front of the st. Ursen cathedral in solothurn, switzerland. You can hear the two fountains which build the background sound. Also, there are tourists and swiss people walking nearby and talking. The sound was recorded in 24bit on a professional zoom recorder with the xyh-5 stereo microphone. For postprocessing, only unwanted noises were cut from the recording and the overall sound level was raised.

This is the final piece for our final project of sound creation laboratory. We have made changes in several ways: erasing redundant information (such as spoken words), filtered a section of the piece in order to make a sense of outside the club or inside the club. We also introduced an echo effect to make the effect of a drunk state. Furthermore, a bed sound has been placed at the final of the piece. This is a good improvement related with the final impression the piece gives to the audience. It's a recreation of tired atmosphere and also of the desire of sleeping.

Not just any thunder this! this is the spanish variety and anyone who has been around a spanish thunderstorm will know what i mean. This field recording was made from my villa and this is both rural and situated between two mountain ranges. So, you've got the thunder, the acoustics, the sound of the rain and the birds in the nearby trees. If you listen closely enough then you might hear the sound of the breeze through the palm trees. Recorded with twin directional mike pointing away from each other. . . For just about the best stereo separation you're going to get!.
