Since i wanted to help someone with sound, well, i made the menu theme with an edited bear growl, and it's creepy!.

Made with a recording of my cousian singing "we will, we will rock you!" into the mic and edited with audacity. Feel free to use.

This is me groaning with a bunch of fx added, it sounds a little like a door creaking in a haunted house. It's a very unsettling sound especially when low in a mix.

Recorded with audacity, this ghost is terrifying me, i can hear him through the walls :(. Microphone: logitech g35. Just using a couple filters via audacity. Stretching and morphing sound. I started with saying pretend words backwards in realtime.

Free drone. Recorded using homemade contact microphones. The os-xx samples consist of different recordings of fans, fridges, espressomachines, etc. The sounds are pretty raw, i added reverb, and cut some sub. I can, on request hand out the raw recordings. Enjoy.

An eerie high sound which can be used for horror or mystery.

An mp3 recording of a blood-curdling scream which slightly reverberates. Made by me screaming into the piano while holding down the pedal, which makes the notes vibrate in tune with the voice. The scream is a little weird because i couldn't do it very realistically. :-) recorded with a black sony digital ic voice recorder.

I modified a sound i found on here (it was labeled as "cc0" or public) to give it a bit of a psycho sound. The original user is "memz" and the title they made is "thriller score horror scene". The only thing i did was rearrange the audio so that it echoes in and out. If you appreciate the sound, give "memz" the accolades and not me.

I was showing my 1 year old my recording studio. He was laughing and talking so i recorded him to play it back. His reaction was as wonderful as i could have hoped. This was recorded in my home studio, on a cad e100s microphone. Recorded in audacity, i copied the clip, lowered the pitch, stretched, added reverb, and reversed the audio. I also normalized to -3db.

An eerie ghost effect i created from sampling metallic sounds and processing them.

I made this by playing a piccolino recorder and then adding reverb to it. There was a loop ready-made in garage-band that i used as a model but then changed it because i didn't want it to loop. I added flourishes so that it ends. This is the intro for an audio book i am recording but since i created the sound, i can share it. I would be happy if anyone else wanted to use it. No need to give credit etc.

48000/24bit. Eerie but calm and rhythmic crickets endemic to high-temperature public bath at the center of moscow, russia. Recorded using an aaton cantar and a neumann stereo mic at a ~110' interchannel angle. Used in production of a movie called "schultess".

A slowed down effect from my voice using audacity. Ideal for paranormal films, ghostly transitions etc.

Birdsong and crows in the fields above my home in the fog and damp - so sounds amplified and 'hollow'. Recorded using a sennheiser 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. The odd airline going overhead can be heard. Quite an eerie sound-bite. Feel free to hash it, mash it and trash it. Use it as you wish. No conditions.

This is a horror audio sample created in fl studio 12. It is cut to where you can loop it infinitely. You can use it in a horror game or other, but if you use it, just give credit.

Long knife being sharpened down a steel. Recorded on r09hr in kitchen then gain enhanced and processed in digital performer with proverb to give an eerie one shot effect that can be used to create tension and foreboding in horror films or events.

Eerie background soundtrack.

To me the final effect sounded like a haunted space ship. I began with a 10 second sample of ordinary speech then lowered the pitch, stretched the wave pattern, added echo and reverb. Then i copied portions of the wave pattern to a new track and mixed the two into a mono track. Did this several times while also using noise reduction and normalization.

A more dreary version of spooky siren. The intonations of this feel more grimdark, in a sense total tripedation and tension over an event can be felt like the forthcoming of a thunderstorm over a hero illuminating him towards his true path. Reasynth, orilriver and losers filtering plugins were used. I inspired this from half life 2's citadel siren which contained a single trailing notation.

Very bizarre sounds emanating from the dark deep bowels of the balmy and humid swamplands!::::: ::::: ::::: ::::: ::::: ::::: ::::: ::::: :::::caution! due to the frightening nature of this clip, parental advisory is recommended!lol!.
