A broken cd drive trying to read a cd. It sounded weird so i decided to upload it :). This recording is unprocessed (no denoising, no dynamic range compression, etc. ).
I got the zynaddsubfx-patch from a member of the audio4linux. De-community, named zettberlin. Sounds great, so i have to record and publish it. Processed with the "fast lookahead limiter" ladspa-plugin.
Dead air on an a. M. Radio station while lightning in the area "tickles" the frequency to create static peaks. Perhaps similar to the sounds of a radiation or metal detector.
I recorded the sound in the studio of a sculptor yves dana. He works with large blocks of marble that he moves from one side to the other of its beautiful space.

Another recording of the idling train engine, this time with the spitting sound more towards a struggling pneumatic (air) valve. Also the alarm sound is more of a continuous cycling engine hum.
Made using ableton and some self-generated feedback in the studio, this was produced for a stage play in which a character is electrocuted by a faulty amplifier.
