Ian dury used something like this in "what a waste". . . It's the gurgling noise made when the last of the water runs down a bathroom sink plughole. Conveys almost as much meaning as a cistern flushing, but in a shorter time (smaller file size). As ever (with my stuff) no "noises off" and so ready for mixing!.

This was a fairly small air mass thunderstorm, only a few km across. However, it made up for its size with amplitude, becoming the largest attention seeker for miles around. Listen at -07:12 for some of the strangest thunder i have ever heard. . . Recorded with a rode stero videomic pro.

I caught this pair of canadian geese flying overhead and landing in a nearby pond during lockdown in orpington. March 17th 2021 at 0630am. The a21 is ever present but a lot less traffic noise at this time of day.

Recoding from my sony camcorder while holidaying in italy. The 7am and 7pm bells from the campanile (bell tower) in the medieval hilltop village of sorana, tuscany. Note at beginning the muffled sound of bells from nearby village and the odd ever present birds. I left these sounds in as they give a sense of place to the bells.

This one was recorded with a homemade condenser mic into my zoom h4n, so it sounds a little lo-fi, though it seemed to take additive hf eq quite nicely. The huevos fucheros was delicious. This may be the most irritating squeak sound ever. In our office, we discovered a particular filing cabinet that squeaked if you would lean against it. It was too good to pass up. Sound effect - bass rumble tension rise (wind river movie). I've looked for this particular bass tension builder sound effect from the movie wind river since it came out!! if you've seen that film and you're familiar with the "standoff" scene, then you'll probably know what sound effect im referring to. . . In the background of that most intense ever scene of all time is this bass rumble or tension builder that gives me goosebumps every time i watch it! i've wanted the original pretty bad because its the best suspense builder(bass rumble) sound ive ever heard! although it doesn't seem to exist online even for purchase. So i tried to recreate it myself! im a movie scene editor all the way, but im less than amature at audio editing, so please excuse the flaws. There are 3 versions in this mp3. All with different tones, speed, and other details trying to recreate as best i could.

Ever wandered through a spanish street market? the sound will be familiar to — very possibly all too familiar! this recording was made so close to the offending mechanical toy, that it has even picked up the noises of the mechanism itself. There is a small amount of background noise. Seemingly unnecessary period of silence included is the exact cause before the next outburst of squeaking. Set repeat function on your sound editor recording.

The ever-present insects are there, but overshadowed by the peepers. 13 seconds in a dog barks off in the distance and the echo is just incredible. 24 seconds into the recording is the classic call of the red-wing blackbird.
