A close-up stereo recording (3 meters) of a freight train idling then passing by. You can hear the train slowly accelerating more and more, until it is going by at very fast speeds. After the train has gone by, the train can be head in the distance. (sound was recorded using a mzr-700 md recorder and a sony ecm-ms907 microphone).

This is a field recording of a fast approaching freight train coming and going with whitsle blaring. I continued to record the sound of the wheels rumbling on tracks - fades at end. An express train of kintetsu railway passes by at rather high speed. Connecting my at835st to a newly purchased edirol r-44. I actually bought it for need of recording four channels of drums sound, but i was completely astonished by its great ability as a field recorder. Wonderful mic preamps, aren't they?.

Recorded with zoom h2 on 2nd august 2009 in gauja, latvia. Electric train is passing by full speed. Railroad crossing is closed and a warning signal is emitted. On the left a bunch of kids are playing and on the right a bird sings. Train passes by and vehicle starts moving.

This is a sequence i created for my podcast. It is a male running through a crazy maze. Sounds used are breathing, running, chains, whistle, explosion, fall and a spat. I have a version with train noise in the background.
This is a sound of mine that i made, it's a washing machine on a fast spin, it sounds rather like an old british style diesel train at speed. I used my canon power shot a460 camera video to film the washing machine in action and simply took the sound from the video. Geese flying about 10 feet overhead and honking. You can hear them approach, fly off and get absorbed by the sounds of all the other birds (and a train horn in the distance). Sorry, mono only since i had to hit record pretty fast when i saw them coming. . .
This sound effect was captured by me on video on my canon digital powershot a460 camera, i stood just above the motorway at charing cross glasgow scotland and captured this sound from the jam packed motorway, both sides were busy, i even caught the sound of a police car coming along the hard shoulder. I simply took the sound from my video.
