Made this just walking on the road near my house, no car passings. There's a bit of gravel on the road kicked up from car tires. I just recorded this with my phone so it's not a perfectly clean recording (as far as background noise).

A second attempt at recording the deep mud i keep finding myself walking through each morning on walthamstow marshes. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics (connected to a bent wire clothes hanger and positioned about 30cm above my feet). Processing: normalize -1. 0db, low cut filter 100hz, minor noise reduction to reduce background traffic/train noise. I do not require any credit or attribution. I decided to upload all of my sound design stuff where i am working or have worked on. This is a series of hard sole footsteps on a stone tile floor i recorded for slicing it up to load it in a sampler. Recorded with a brauner phantom classic via an xlogic alpha vdh pre-amp from solid state logic.

It was recorded from about three feet away near the left end of the dryers operating, near the front-loading doors of the dryers. Heavy, cyclic, mechanical rumbling sound. Tying shoelaces: a close-up listen to a very subtle sound when two pieces of string is being tied around each other. You can hear the fumbling of hands swooshing the string around each other and a harder sound of when the knot is being pulled so that it doesn't come loose. There is a small click near half-way, caused by a brief release of steam. It might prove annoying if you are planning on looping it. There is also not an even right/left balance throughout, due to my movement to avoid the wind.
