I wanted to make a sound effect for a game i'm developing, and so i recorded a 100-mm artillery cannon at camp williams (utah national guard), then modified the sounds using audacity. The recording was done on an olympus digital recorder in the mid-2000s (first decade). It sounded a little to me like the tribute cannon from hunger games (the sound effect that signals the deaths of the tributes), thus the name.

At the final section of the recording is heard the sound of an airplane flying across the sky. I used the zoom handy recorder h2 with internal microphones. I made some corrections in adobe audition 3. 0. Enjoy!.
