Remix of wierd chimes. Wavhttp://freesound. Org/people/kwahmah_02/sounds/250253/which was a recording of a shortwave broadcast in am mode received in usb mode 1khz off frequency. I used goldwave's mechanize feature at 10000khz, then applied low pass filter at 10000 khz to filter out the newly created upper sideband, then i used mechanize again at 9000 khz, which tuned in the recording just like if i had a tuneable receiver.

A remix of freesound 252834 and 17804. I took 252834 and course quantized it in goldwave, then lowered the volume and mixed it with some of the static from 17804. Then i played the mix through my computer speakers and recorded it with my webcam to immitate the cheesy fake apparatus used by the ghost hunters tv series and the like.

I took the raw recording and used goldwave's mechanize effect to translate my voice to a center frequency of 14khz. I then demodulated it first at 10. 6 and then 10. 2khz meaning that what comes out is essentially the opposite sideband, offset by 3. 4 and 3. 8khz respectively. 3khz just didn't sound as good. The first i filtered with a low pass of 2. 9khz, the second was filtered to below 3. 4khz to emulate a communications receiver passband. I am speaking upside down as described in this video. Being blind i can't see their diagram, but i've got my own by ear intuitive method, keeping in mind that oo and ee are farthest from each other, all other vowells get closer the closer they are to the middle of the human voice frequency range. My forklift recorded using my phone at work. I just cut out and muted most of the ambience using goldwave (http://www. Goldwave. Com/) to make it more just the hydraulics. If you cut out sections, scramble them and fool around with the speed in the sound, i think you can get a great variety of pneumatic and robot-sounding sounds out of it.

This is the sound of an lrad (long range acoustic device). I managed to create this sound with a basic sample from nch tone generator and a few days of processing in goldwave.

Sound is an ibanez fz-7 fuzz fed back into itself into a nanoverb delay. The feedback creates a sound somewhat like a droning saxophone at times. Peak reduction done in goldwave, otherwise unprocessed.

The sound is a contact mic'ed piece of pvc pipe which has a drawstring from a pair of shorts tied to it. The sound is the drawstring being plucked. It's could be good for bass lines. The sound was processed slightly in goldwave (some noise reduction/eq adjustments/fading).

I was just about to start recording a new radio show when the phone rang. I thought it was going to be a scammer but it was just a friend. Got back in here after eating lunch and found this still in the goldwave window, so i decided to upload it.

Neighborhood kids playing tag with frs-(family radio service) walkie-talkies chasing kid on bike. Kid excitedly yelling where the kid they were chasing was going, toward the end another kid keys his walkie heterodyning with the yelling kid. Recorded in goldwave from radioditty gd77s handheld directly in front of lifecam 3000 webcam.

Modern noise - a quiet kitchen at night in an urban surrounding, and the constant sound of a big samsung fridge. Very distant tv sounds and voices. Recorded with a blue yeti on the floor (omnidirectional mode i think), cut to make it loop cleanly and boosted up a bit with goldwave. I kept it short (less than 2 minutes) to make it easier to manipulate in my video editor timelines. Hope someone finds it useful.

Recording is a 24 bit stereo wav file. Literally using a "motivational speaker" tape found in a box (full of several more of these god awful things!) while digging through the neighborhood trash to test out and setup a pitch-shifted vocal patch for my noisecore project. This sample was created by layering short, improvised passages on a yamaha psr-275 into a boss dd-20 in sound on sound mode. Loop was played into a boss me-30 on harmonizer and pitch shifter settings, processed in real time, then faded out. Audio was further processed in goldwave (compression, added hiss, vibrato, etc. ) to give it a more believeable "old vhs tape" sound. I cut it to only include the most convincing segment of audio. (it's not perfect, but it's only an emulation!) 24 kbps, stereo.

Recorded in july of 2019 at blue cliff monastery (pine bush, ny) using a zoom h1n and 3dio fs binaural microphone. At 9:30 p. M the"great togetherness meditation hall" was empty except for two meditators (one of whom can be heard leaving about three and a half minutes into the recording). The natural creaking of the building can be heard throughout. Additional sounds include outside crickets, cars passing on a nearby road, and an occasional airplane. The track volume was maximized using goldwave.

Birds singing out my window in atchison kansas, an american robin, a chimney swift, and some others i'm not sure of. You can hear the neighbor kid's tv on the other side of the wall in the background along with the roar of distant trains and traffic. Recorded at just before 06:00 this morning with lifecam hd300 about 4 feet from the windows. Edited in goldwave with a highpass filter cutting down some of the rumble below 70hz.

Going outside to check the mail. I go out the inner door and close it, you can hear the weather stripping dragging the floor, then go out the outer door onto the porch. I go over and check the neighbor's mail to take up to her later, then check our own, then go back into the apartment where you can hear the tv. I'm at the corner of 5th and kansas not far from kair 93. 7fm studios. This sound starts with the band from part1 departing and a truck passing. Children talk and yell and a man yells something. Another band approaches. A woman seems to tell someone to say cheese in the distance. The file ends when the band gets a bit too loud for my microphone. Recorded with goldwave with an asus laptop in my backpack and a microsoft lifecam3000 poking out of it facing behind me clothes-pinned to one of the handles of the pack. Unfortunately microsoft no longer supports their lifecam apps so it's not possible to turn down the internal mic gain.

Stereo recording incorporating 2 recordings made simultaneously on the web sdr (software defined radio) in north east pensylvania (fn21mh) at http://k3fef. Com:8901/and the one at raf hackgreen in nantwich in cheshire (io83ra) http://hackgreensdr. Org:8901/i used the filename of one of the recordings for part of this new dual receivers recording mixed in goldwave and time-synched by ear. Left channel is the pensylvania receiver, right channel is the uk receiver. Heard are various stations working or trying to work w1uuu in massachusetts including stations in the dominican republic, argentina, the ukraine, trinidad and tobago, colombia and florida. Some stations are heard better in pa, some better in the uk. Lots of static crashes heard from late spring lightning storms hundreds or thousands of kilometers away from both receivers. You can find over 100 receivers athttp://websdr. Org/most allow you to record, though some have a 15-minute timer.
