Ambisonic test recording made with a sennheiser ambeo mic into a sound devices mixpre 6 ii. Recorded in 32bit float. Mic position was 'endfire'. Not too much action but it gives a good idea of how a quiet ambience sounds in ambisonic. You will need the sennheiser ambeo plugin in order to convert this recording into b-format.

Close up recording of a bee on a flower, i had the mic input level turned up to max to see if it would pick anything up, i couldn't hear it at all, and it sounds pretty good! shame about those inconsiderate people in the background. "hey i'm trying to record a bee over here!" is not really something you can get away with saying to strangers.

Sounds of a fireworks show i recorded at a private party last year. While not the sound of a huge fireworks show you might hear at disneyland for example, i was right under the rockets being launced so i think it captured good sounds. It was over a lake with a crowd and boats coming and going but i think i was able to edit all those sounds out.

Iphone recording of a group of people sitting in a theatre in downtown boston, ma, prior to a film screening. The room was perfectly tempered and acoustically treated, and people were talking at a relatively normal level without echo or reverberation. It was too good to pass up recording it. At first, there are people talking near by, but towards the end, i am further back and the group chatter effect can be noticed in whole.

One of my early psy goa trance base sample packs. I think it starts at c2. I have never seen a set of psy base samples on the net, thought i'd put them up. If anyone has a set of sampled bass for psy / goa available, please tell me, i'm still learning, so these are surly not as good quality as they could be! have fun exploring inner space!.

Digital noise made from raw binary files extracted from hdd with hexplorer using raw import function in audacity. Files were 4, each made from 200 sectors. I modified each sound using filters and joined them together to make longer looping example. Good to use in a game or 3d video animation as background ambient noise. Audacity and hexplorer are freeware and you can make similar job with them. . .

I got caught in a freak rainstorm whilst hiking a bit ago, but luckily had packed my h6 in my bag and was able to get some good little rain snippets! there's some super close sounding droplets hitting leaves, some wider pouring rain, and a bit of hand-held noise unfortunately, but i figured there's a little something for everyone here!. Recorded on zoom h6n with xy 120 degree pair.

Recording of my own fireplace made with a tascam dr-40 (internal mics). I blasted up the lower freqs, kept the mid-range close to 0, then from 5-16 khz went back way up, slowly tapering down to below zero for the highest frequencies. All editing done in audacity, compressed using soundkonverter in linux. This is a good sound effect for either a bonfire or a house burning down, which is what i made it for.

Today i was cleaning the house on a leisurely sunday, and came across a piece of thicker paper by my printer. When i picked it up to put it in recycling, it was rather loud. There have been many times on jobs where i needed such a sound, and thought it would be a good asset to record and share. Hopefully it comes in handy for others needing this element. Recorded in stereo with 2 at-2020s. Lots of variety in handling and plenty to pull from. Enjoy!.

We were doing a shoot for a chinese television station and i let my canon 7d pic up some sounds, edited some of the pops out and there you have it. Some bees in a meadow with some churping birds near commercial hives in the late spring. Good for ambient background sound with bees everpresent. In the fraser valley, british columbia.

I recorded this sound with my nokia lumia 900 cellphone inside a boeing 737. The airplane landed, the pilot is saying good-bye through the loudspeakers. You can also hear the engines of the plane and people unlocking their seatbelts. Additionally, there's a crying baby on the background. The plane landed on schiphol airport.

I needed a good indoor fish tank for an office scene i was working on, and made one out of these sounds. You can hear the bubbles protruding from the tubes of the tank and the hum of the pump. Mournful cows mooing in the night. These are my neighbor's pasture-raised cattle and they have a pretty good life but about this time every year he has to wean the calves. He separates the calves from their mothers. They are on opposite sides of a fence. The fence is a single electric wire. The mothers and their calves are inches from each other but not in the same field. It makes me so sad to hear them in such distress but they seem to get over it in a few days.

This was a happy accient. I was charging a drone battery though an adapter with overvoltage protection, which started beeping and increasing in frequency as the battery got close to full charge. There is a good bit of sound at the end, when i pulled off the battery and the capacitors in the charger discharged. :). Have fun with it! if you want, let me know what you did with it. Cheers!. I really needed something that sounded like a group of horses galloping in the distance and couldn't find anything. So i busted out my zoom h6 and set it on my futon comforter and then just tapped my fingertips on the surface right next to the stereo mics. Then i put that track in premiere and made four layers, all offset to get different rhythm and i thought it turned out pretty good so wanted to share it.

I like the first cup of coffee from a good coffee maker. Inevitably though, it gets left on, and then to me it is undrinkable. Overcooked. Terrible. The waste is unacceptable to me. So, we can agree on that, and my partner was about to make a cup for himself. I got it all, jar lids, spooning, stirring with a spoon in a ceramic cup, adding sugar and milk. The last soft thud is the fridge door closing.

A 30-second loop i made (part of a larger song) experimenting with house and funk, and trying to fit in as many sounds as possible with no regard to the norms of good audio quality. This is penny, a 7 year old female black and white cat who was being very affectionate. Recorded her in the bathroom purring and rubbing on the mic. 50 second in, i put the mic up to her chest while purring. Then at 1 and a half mins, i recorded her drinking water out of the sink. Hopefully someone finds good use for her sounds. I can always get more, and her brother as well.

Made using a logic x. Cant beat a good arpeggiator. I put this together for a cheesy action movie style entrance after the hero is presumed dead but makes a dramatic return with plenty of smoke and back lighting. Enjoy.

I forgot i was recording! in one and a half hour. . . This is from that recording. It's an vcv-rack patch generating suspense music or call it anticipation music. Is there a good word for it. Maybe you interpret the sound in a different way? some sort of back ground noise anyway. . . ?the sound is time stretched, eqed, compressed and i added a little reverb.

A poot recorded with relatively good quality, ie. Low noise, no echo, etc. Post-processed using audacity (equalization, amplification, noise-reduction) to achieve more consistent levels and fidelity. Recorded on a moto g5 plus (smartphone) using easy voice recorder (android). Processed with audacity for a more consistent tone and volume.

Our good old bosch dishwasher is doing its magic. This is a more rhythmic loop. You can hear a glass or bowl squeaking/ringing in the water jet inside the device. Recorded x/y stereo with two audio technica at4041 mics into a marantz pmd 661 recorder. Normalized plus some eqing using fabfilter pro-q3.

Recorded at my kitchen with zoom h4n with built-in microphones, over stainless steel sink, using 3 bottle shapes 700 and 750 ml filled with water and drained. (it's a foley story--i wouldn't be guilty of wasting good 12-year-old scotch, or bourbon or australian wine--no way--sorry dad. I drank them all down my gullet. )(but not all in one sitting!).

Most of the sounds (a couple of bass instruments, several animal roars) come from garageband, along with some recordings of a human made on a zoom h1. Decided to record myself drinking from my water bottle, turned out good enough so here it is! can be used for anything like simply drinking, or swallowing or the like. A stereo wav recording from a zoom h1n during a thunderstorm today. One siren picks up followed by several more producing a convincing stereo image. I have done a basic bass roll-off, but have left it otherwise untouched. If you have a spectral editor you can probably clean out more of the noise, but i couldn't do so and keep the sirens sounding good.

This is a recording of an operation in a hospital in lisboa, portugal. We needed this recording for an audiowalk that also took place in an unused hospital. I was not allowed to go into the operartion room. I gave the microphones to a nurse that spent 5 minutes for me in the operation room. She did quite a good job.
