Acoustic drums playing a groove reminiscent of abba's dancing queen, but at a slower tempo, 94bpm. Recorded with a zoom h2n in xy configuration slightly behind the drum set throne. Drums are yamaha stage custom (birch wood shells), except for the bass drum (a 16x12 inch kick from a millenium youngster kit).
Lead in groove of a 7" single @ 45 rpm. Recording chain:. Pro-ject primary turntable with an ortofon om 5e cartridge→ onkyo stereo amplifier→ behringer uca202 audio interface→ laptop using audacity. Notched out some motor noise and selectively eliminated or lessened some other noises for aesthetic reasons.
A 120bpm amen break generated by a lstm recurrent neural network. Generated using theano-backed keras library in python, trained on the gpu. No post-processing applied.
