Stomping on a big cement ground as hard a possible with a contact mic attached to the ground. The contact mic provides lots of bass so you can use this for punches, kicks, impacts, anything that can use a sweeter for impacts. I handmade my contact mic and recorded that into a h5. Rain: this is a very subtle rain sound. It is not sharp but it is very constant. The droplets are hitting hard ground. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. This sound is great to add volume to an already existing rain-ambience.

Record of the walk and start of the car. On the recording you can hear footsteps on the rocky ground. Opening the car and then putting the key to the ignition and starting the car. Car sound is audible inside the car and may be hard to hear. I made the recording on the zoom h5 handy recorder. The headphones used are superlux. I used a sandisk 32 gb card. Regards :).

A 39 sec. Loop of maxheadroom's wonderful "field-recording of a real live horse galloping on hard dry ground with some heavy snorting. Not a gallop past, but a constant gallop around the mic. " thanks max! i needed it to be longer for our podcast, so i figured i'd share this. I will warn you, it's pretty obviously looped due to the horse's breathing being repetitive. I was working with a 4-5 second clip. If you like it, please give me a rating!. Check out our comedy podcast "in poor taste" at http://bit. Ly/inpoortasteeps.

Sounds from making holes in the ground to place a mortar in it, it could also be used for preparations of building a tent. What i envision most is though that a real time strategy worker is harvesting coal, iron, metal, gold or stone resources using a pickax or shovel on hard ground. It could also be a massively multiplayer role playing game with the harvesting features. Extracted from a video (http://img. Youtube. Com/vi/bibflvh5qjq/2. Footsteps. . . Note:. These are no field recordings but handmade walking sounds in different speeds and manners intended for game creation. Most of them you can loop. They are recorded as dry as possible so you should add the ambience you like. How to make these:. 1. First empty two bottles of the famous spanish brandy lepanto. 2. Keep the korks - they have a very special sound different from the korks of wine bottles. 3. Then, if you're still able to hit (maybe you shouldn't drink the brandy alone and at once), fill things in a flat bowl or a plate - f. E. Pepper grains or salt. 4. Step the korks in the bowl and record it. You may also - as i did - step the korks on other things like a ventilator. 5. Compress the sounds hard but limit them to -4 db (as they sound not naturally if they are to loud).

As our planet becomes increasingly crowded, finding a quiet, natural, tranquil place to listen to pure nature becomes harder. Even in the rural area of deep southern illinois you have to really try hard to find a place where the man-made sounds aren’t everywhere. However, i found just such a place on september 9th, 2012 at the cache river state natural area. This very peaceful recording was made at around 3:00pm in a grassy field bordering a small pond. The pure, droning sound of the insects of late summer make this soundscape almost hypnotic. If you listen closely towards the middle and end of this recording, you can hear the pleasant chipping of sparrows and the not so pleasant call of a crow off in the distance. Recording made with the handy/zoom h4n recorder, using the internal built-in stereo microphones. I mounted my recorder on a small tripod literally 3 inches from the ground so my recorder was actually hidden in the grasses and goldenrods of late summer.
