I'm cutting bread with a bread knife.

Using a small bag filled with cherry seeds trying to imitate walking and running on a floor covered in pebbles, sand or well, seeds. Sounds a bit percussion-esque maybe. . .

This is an acapella i wrote and recorded, i have performed live versions of this at three march on monsanto's and i want to see what people would create on here.

First upload. Recorded with zoom h4n. It's flax seed in an empty plastic spice container. It's a 16th note rhythm amd it loops perfectly at 130 bpm. It has some fairly subtle panning effects. Eight quarter notes long, but also works really well every 4 quarters, every three etc. I. E. When doubled and even tripled on itself in a sequencer.

Clean, dry recording of a roughly half-filled metal can (the ribbed kind used for most canned food - probably steel, tin, or a blend of the two) containing dry oatmeal being shaken. A variety of forces and speeds were used to create a diverse assortment of sounds. Scraping the seeds from a hard squash over the sink. Seeds tink into metal compartment. Similar sounds to a dog gnawing at perhaps a carrot and with tiny teeth falling out.

Recorded via iphone 6s recorder, very close to the source under blanket in bed. Source is already-cracked sunflower seeds being crushed by 2 fingers. Created a nice texture which could be used for unlocking purposes.

I recorded this in 2015 as background ambience for an audio drama. The cracking and plopping noises are by the surrounding trees, because they had these exploding seeds, yo may remember from biology classes. :).

Blip random: c2 note, random short blip sounds from synplant. Sampled into ableton as atonal as possible with a bit of effects, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Just some recording of a dried, brittle chili pepper with little seeds inside - up way way close to the mic (a zoom h2n). Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). The beginning of a thunderstorm, from normality to first drops of rain, with approaching thunder, and eventually a full downpour. 1. There are birds picking at seeds on a nearby rooftop, which can be heard before the rain. 2. The birds flutter away just before the rain. 3. The rain starts around the 10 minute mark. 4. Full downpour starts around the 12:11 mark. Recorded on june 08, 2021 from the second floor window of an nyc apartment building, facing the inner-bay.
