All right, my first contribution and i hope i will be able to help you with some more good sound effects on the way. Here's a sound effect of a cassette tape being rewound in a tape recorder, although i kinda tweaked with the effect. Hope you like it, fellas.

Blending a smoothie. Blender goes on and off a couple of times to help churn frozen strawberries. During the blending, there is the sound of a spoon tapping on the pitcher. Recorded in mono mp3 mode on a zoom h2. The recorder then created a 2-track file (and i assume both tracks are identical). Compressed and normalized to -3. 1 db in audacity. Exported in flac mode.

This is my new rotary-valved cornet with german valves and a 1913 holton bell all plated in gold and white rhodium. The sample was recorded in a large church in north carolina. With the help of bill jones i designed this horn and dr. Jones built it. It starts loud at a forte but then plays some quieter phrases around a mezzo piano.

On the last day of 2010, a taxi driver was struggling to move forward on the icy slippery road with his regular tires. Kyoto city had heavy snow fall on that day, and no cars wore special tires for winter. Since the taxi wouldn't start, the following car couldn't help honking. A grey squirrel at the edge of a wood seemed quite upset and repeated called for about 5 minutes. I recorded the end of its calling. It is also my first attempt at recording sound with my camera (canon eos 550d). There turned out to be a fan noise with a slight clicking. I ran noise reduction in audacity to remove it and to help reduce the sound of traffic.

A sound composed from bunching wet paper towels smacked against the floor and a wet bottle of liquid being sloshed mixed together to create an impact sound. Creates a horrible sensation of flesh impacted by a powerful shockwave. A bottle with liquid being sloshed around gently can provide the needed element of a subdued liquid sound - taking away the need to filter it with low pass filters (but it can help boost other frequencies).

This is a simple recording of open air white noise of a quite room. I've used this in quite digital passes in some of my original music to help make the digital instrument sound a little less sterile. This is a full unedited take. You will want to crop the start and end sections so you don't here me cutting the recorder on and off ect. I hope you can use this if you need it!.
