Its base are metalic and glass-breaking sound effects, put them in reaper and playin with a lot of meq's and synth filters.

Our neighbors fought a lot. Usually at around 2am and it would go on for about an hour or two. Besides being angry and annoyed, my girlfriend and i were always curious as to what they could possibly be fighting about. I had the idea to record them via a long mic cable stretching down the hallway, strategically hidden behind a few pieces of wood, to their apartment door. My plan was to one day play this from my stereo at a loud volume around 2am. As i later thought this through i realized that this would only disturb my other quiet neighbors and was a fairly selfish act. Anyway, i used a $100 audio-technica stereo mic and recorded it directly into my computer as an. Aiff. They seem to be arguing about a stereo and someone not loving the other. It's rather sad. We no longer live in that building so i have no idea what became of them. I hope they are happier now. Enjoy.

This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. Experimental recording idea i had in summer 2017, i buried two contact microphones half a foot deep in a rock beach and captured the noise ambience picked up in the rocks, as well as the tide coming over the microphones eventually. This was in our backyard and i have no idea why the birds were doing this. I couldn't see them in the thick bushes and i couldn't tell how many there were. They just went on and on and i never heard them like this before except for maybe one or two squawking away at times. A bit of wind came up and a few background noises. This is a very lowfi recording of a xerox workcentre 7345 actually performing a copy of a single page. Includes a button beep at the start, fan noise, servo motor sounds, paper sorter moving sounds and lots of other mechanics being moved around. You really get an idea how complicated these modern machines are. . :). The bitrate is only 13 kbit/s and the resulting audio quality not very good, but the file size is really small. Maybe audio level needs normalizing, though.

This recording was taken in the edinburgh cbd during the fringe festival in august 2022 in the early evening, around 7pm. I like it because it gives an idea of the unusual way that sounds travel in that city. I could never figure out the reason for it, but it was noticeable to me the whole time i was there. I recorded this groove at an art gallery. This exhibition was about bergama. It was very annoying when listen clean. Because original recording of this location is for the investing people for the spesific idea. It is already progressive grooving but after noise reduction and filtering audio, i explore an interesting groove again. It was more progressive than the others. Autorickshaw: a field recording made in bangalore india, of a ride home in an autorickshaw. This was long before the days of electric autorickshaws (~year 2000), so the recording is the sound of the nasty, polluting-well-above-its-weight two-stroke petrol-engine variety. I was going home from a night out with with several friends spread out over three autorickshaws and sometimes you can hear the others in the recording. (the picture is not the actual autorickshaw in the recording, the photo is from pakistan. I didn't get a photo of the one in the recording, but you get the idea. ). Recorded on sony minidisc.

This is another spoopy long background music type thing i've thrown together with pitch shift and time stretch and echo. This one is a bit long to sit through and feels to me like it often needs more space in it, but i have no idea what i'm doing so i'm stuck with what i've got. For background creepy mood stuff there are definitely some good 30ish second stretches in there that are different enough from each other to suit somebody somewhere though, i'm sure.

One of a series of foley recordings i made by sticking a piece of contact (sticky plastic of the kind you use to cover books) to a wall and tearing various household objects off it. The idea was to make a fairly comprehensive collection of rips and tears with varying timbral qualities that i could use to design ui sounds effects. This is a remix of oceas 8th loop at 130bpm, the samples in this pack were made mostly by running the original loop through a custom plugin i made with synthedit. The general idea of the plugin is to seperate the incoming audio into 8 seperate channels using high-resonance bandpass filters, then run each of the 8 channels through its own special effect including reverb, delay, harmonic generation, ring modulation, modulation of the original signal by the harmonic generation signal out, and another reverb.

This is for a video game i was making, but i figured it would be a good idea to share this with everyone. This is supposed to be the sound of a wooden container being violently smashed open, such as a barrel or a box, or even possibly a wooden wall. I borrowed a few sounds from the site, tweaked a little of course, and also added some powerful white noise effects to indicate a hard smash. With some layering with twigs cracking and pieces of wood falling on the floor, i think it sounds pretty authentic. . . Or as authentic as it can get!.

I made a great impersonation of the grudge when she is angry using adiomass and my own voice! i thought it was a good idea since i had figured out how to make that sound a long time ago (like 2 months or something) the scream you may hear at the end was me breathing out but because i added 250% more gain over and over again i ended up sounding like i met the "grudge". Good for horror movies and possibly a grudge 2 (although i already saw the old grudge 2 this would be a remake. ).

Alien xxx sent me a “cross modulation challenge”. I have tried to be true to his idea, but added automation, so to speak. Oscillator1 is constantly fm-modulating oscillator2. I vary the frequency of oscillator1 with an lfo. The output of oscillator1 is sent to a) left audio channel and b) in to oscillator2. The output of oscillator2 is fed to oscillator1. The degree of cross fm modulation is controlled by a vca controlled by another lfo. The output of oscillator2 is also sent to right audio channel. As i’m writing this i have just made a theoretical patch on a piece of paper. The result is what you hear. No effects added. Straight out of the modular for better or worse.

My idea for this track is when an astronaut is exploring an alien wreckage and his base realizes there is more than just a wreckage when he asks the astronaut to get of the area.
