Old field recordings originaly made for a friends short film that focussed on the internet and telecommunications. Think i used reaktor and audiomulch. I always do my topping and tailing in soundforge.

That being the case, i am privileged, and i hereby share my good fortune with this community in the form of a recording of that hallowed insect's chirping. However, i do not find its call as soothing as some might, and if it continues to bruise the air with its incessant racket, i may be moved to seek it out and destroy it! so. . . Perhaps. . . In memoriam. . .

This recording was taken around 10. 30pm near a village called dewe in uganda. Dewe is a village in uganda about 100 yards from the shores of lake victoria. I was fortunate enough to spend a month staying with a project called the dewe school of art based in the village. I took this recording while i was alone in the project gardens at night. I have not processed or tampered with the sound in any other way than slightly amplifying the original. Surround recording on zoom h2.

[en]i've created this for a movie. I wanted to share it, because i think it's cool. I used several of my own applause and crowd recordings and a convolution reverb.

I typed quite slow in the beginning if you need to edit out and synch with your footage, if you just want typing sound in the background i think the best is in the end of the clip. The mouse clicking comes later in the clip. I've mixed it a bit but might need more mixing. I've used freesound for 7 years now and i thought i would pay back for all the good sounds that i've used from freesound. More will come <3.

I use a screenreader, nvda. I decided to set it to the eti eloquence speech synthesizer and put the voice on the french voice. I then set the inflection to 50 and typed the letters "r" and "h" over and over to make it sound funny when it tries to read it. The first part is the normal voice, the second part i applied ring modulation with lots of lfo effect.

This is version 2 of my 3 knocking on a door sound i used audacity to edit it and i recorded it with my yeti microphone. I thought that you could use it too. Use it for what ever you want but if you make over 1 million dollars off you aaa game / movie than you share the wealth lol but i would like to know what you use it for that is it credit would be nice but not necessary.

I steve reiched a 'tune' i made with the celeste sample from my edirol orchestral plug-in and i think it makes good atmospheric music for a variety of things, depending on where you are in the track. It only really gets going from about 1:35 but after that i think it makes good fairy tale, horror, meditation, relaxation and mystical/cosmic soundtracks.

Great single-speed diesel engine sound, loopable for any length background you need. This one happens to be at about 1200 rpm for a four-cylinder ford tractor engine. That said, i am living dangerously today because it's a field recording and i'm not saying where it was. Not because i can't, but because i frequently use the wrong door when entering or leaving the supermarket and i usually completely ignore the painted traffic directives in the parking lot. I'm proud of that.

Mono recording. I used a sinusoïde, and i put an effect to change the height (-31. 000, pitch from a to d#/eb). I put an other effect like the phaser (phase 2; dry/web 128; frequency 0. 4; phase departure 0; depth 100; return 0) and an echo (duration 1 sec, factor of diminution 0. 5).

This is a "recreation" of the sounds heard at the beginning of the "alice in wonderland" superbowl tv spot. I used jobro's cinematica 7 in reverse and timbre's bass drum and discordant bells. The ticking sound i made by tapping a pen. I recorded the full "ticking track" (up to :17 in the spot) but didn't have the string hits to make it sound good.

I created this using digital synthesizers. I lost the presets to this so i can't say exactly how it was created, but eventually i'll create a new version and describe the process. It's basically multiple layers of very grainy (like sparklers or vinyl) noise processed through filters modulated by some kind of noise.

A high quality snapshot at a park in the harbour of yokohama, japan. Dogs whine and then bark at something. I turn right in the middle of this session, so dogs' barks come to be heard from the left. I don't remember why i did so. Recorded with olympus ls-10 using at825.

I created a witch voice saying, "hells bells, i think i've lost my broom again"! i used adobe audition and tinkered with the pitch and added slight echo. If you like it, please leave a comment. If you don't, let me know why.

A sound i edited of me pouring tea. Sound i made using a whale mating call, otter squealing, plastic bag as rain, and buses outside of my class. Tried to make a blade runner type vehicle taking off and i also tried to create some ambience to go along with the moody blade runner type of style i was going for.

I found about rpm challenge the other night. . So i have finished a track. It's a generative sample created by software run under my command, on my friends hardware, than mastered by the guy, came back, sat on my hdd, and because of the challenge i have scrappily finished it.

Assortment of birdsong from the woods in september, i can't say which birds but i remember seeing the magpies and the rooks, there's probably some seabirds in there too given the area i recorded it inrecorded on zoom h2n.

Every saturday morning workers roll the large garbage bin down the driveway at our apartment and dump it into the garbage truck. Usually it's an annoyance, because they come early, but today i decided to record it. I think they thought i was recording them to complain or something, but i told them it was just for my sound effects collection. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

The bass drum was generated using absynth 3, as well as the other instruments that follow it. Within the software, i simply just generated a quick drum patch (for myself), which i manipulated over and over till i got several varations. I just happened to choose this one for this loop. General techno-trance and suitable for almost any genre in electronica. The loop is set at standard 120bpm for easy manipulation.

So this is my attempt in making a crowd sound effect. It really didn't sound like a people's crowd since i said "walla" too loud in some clips. There are approximately 28 clips in that sound varying from 15 to 17 seconds. Also, i combined another crowd sound effect which i created in 3ml editor and edited in both audacity and adobe audition to make it longer. All (with the exception of the earlier crowd sound effect i did) was combined in audacity.

I did slightly edit the original audio so that it's not as ear exploding as the original. I needed some incidental character sounds for my cartoon so i broke out my zoomh2n and made some. I then cleaned up the audio and figured i should share it at my favorite internet site for great sound effects. Simulation of leaves rustling. I needed a sound that didn't also include the wind/breeze because i prefer to layer different elements. When i found a dead plant in the basement of my apartment building, i took the opportunity to record some light rustling sounds. Recorded on may 04, 2021. A sample that was made completely by accident. I was recording outside my local park and trying to capture the bird calls (with a semi-successful effort - too much motorway noise is a bit of a bummer) one morning and aimed my uchó pro at the ground as i stood on a sludgey leaves and wet sticks with the input too high - overdriving it but also somehow making a gore sound effect. When i imported it to reaper, time-shifting it - i spotted the unique flavor of crunchiness and wetness it gave.

A space-like sound. I imagined it as an airlock seal engaging in outer space, and the overwhelming sense of isolation through a shifting 8k tone. Believe it or not, i generated this sound not for battlestar galactica, but a courtroom scene on a play i designed the sound for.

An old unfinished loop i made in fl studio (version 6 at the time i believe). I've never made more stuff like this sadly, it's too noisy and hyper for my tastes. . . But i kinda like this one. Perfectly loopable and free to use wherever you want!.

After searching the web for a decent open/close wooden door sfx i decided i would record my own for my school project. But why stop there? why not share on the web, i asked myself. So here it is! used an edirol 24 bit 96khz. Wav/. Mp3 recorder.

I just tested the recently released plugin moscillator (by meldaproduction) and fiddled around with the parameters. It's always the same fundamental. But i automated the parameters for the harmonic's post-processor (sharpen, clean, harmonize, noise, compress). In the end i just put a reverb (eareverb [preset: "under the city"], 100% wet) after the oscillator.

For this sound i make a sawtooth tone with a wah wah effect and then i add a phaser to make this spawning sound. To make this sound more sci-fi, i chose to add some reverb to create more space around the sound and a fade out at the end.

Just a small sound i made for a project i am doing, i made it by jumping and landing on my hard floor close to the microphone. The effect is used for a person that is falling heavily on the ground. Recorded with my røde nt1-a microphone. The recording is in 44100 hz stereo, 32-bit, waw format.

Racking the action of an antique pump shotgun. It may have been a winchester knock-off. May require some trimming and buffing. I think i recorded this with an akg perception 200 using cool edit -- and i did it to get my room-mate to leave (after we recorded the sounds of several of his guns and a sword. . . ).

I needed the sound of newspapers being tossed by a delivery boy for a performance of "our town" i recorded this using a zoom h2, while tossing newspapers against my house. There are two similar recordings for two different acts. I filtered out background noise using audacity.

I needed the sound of a stick hitting something, so i mixed together a whip sound, a belt strike sound and a the sound of someone hitting a piece of wood.

This is a multisample of my stylophone as i move up the notes then after reaching the top i sweep upwards on the notes. This is of moderate quality, is a dry signal, but it is probably badly out of tune.
