These are random samples i recorder and am such a lazy i don't want to sort them out. . . . 1 - could be my modified boss ds-1 distortion pedal (i call it the violent ds - 1) (w/ 3 extra capacitors and a transistor or two) going throught it is a boss dr 550. 2 - a yamaha portasound pss - 270 which i cut the fm synth traces too via switch (that was a pain in my ass also!). 3 - a very scary leap frog kids toy named professor quigly. 4 - a speak and math. . . . . . . 5 - sum yamaha thingy i don't know i just call it my raver machine. . . . . . It looks kinda like a cool t. V.

A recording i took on 04/26/2014, presumably on cassette tape, of an art installation in madison, wi titled "asylum," created by marina kelly and megan katz. To my knowledge, this is the only audio recording that exists of the soundscape, though if asked by kelly or katz i will respectfully take it down. "asylum" was a temporary art installation located in the tenney park passageway under east johnson street. From what i saw when i was there, it was just a speaker or two playing some ambient sounds. These sounds could have been generated based on environmental input, but due to lack of evidence i can't conclusively say that was indeed the case. I was in a bad mood on this recording so apologies for the negativity/language.

I walk up one morning and these sand hill cranes were calling in my front yard. I used my zoom h6 and a xy mic.

June thunder storm recorded from my back door, i used a beat up flip camera isolated the sound in movie maker and cleaned it up as best as i could in audacity.

I threw small stones upon the surface of a small pond (minneapolis, mn, dec 2011) that had recently frozen over. Recorded with a zoom h2, opposite of where i stood.

I played a bit with the filters and oscillators of a free vst synth. This sound is useful for cutting and applying different effects over it. I think that it can be used standalone as well.

This was recorded as dialogue from a character while narrating a story. I was honestly very impressed by it, so i saved it to use for stock.

As i was trying to create a “reggae bass” i made this loop. In my ears it sounds like reggae… but i’m no expert. Not at all. What do you say? does it sound like reggae?.

Sound effect recorded for animation, i think i recorded it with a cheese-knife.

A sci-fi energy gun sound i made out of these weird vibrating back massagers and whatever else i could find.

Tried to record the rain, instead, i got an earful of bird. Perhaps someone may want an earful of bird. I do not.

To create this sound, i created a sinusoid of 500 hz and an amplitude of 0. 8. I then multiplied the speed of 0. 750. To get this final sound is to duplicate the sinusoid several times.

I created this sound with a yawn is sighing. Then i changed the sounds in adobe audition cc 2014, avs audio editor 7. 3 and finalized by a stretch in audacity with a paulstretch effect.

All my sounds were created for an upcoming motioncomic i created called: madagascar: alex's story. . . I did not create these from scratch, but instead, remixed stock sounds of different roars, growls, breathing, etc. And fiddled with their settings until i got a sound i felt satisfied with. I thought the best thing to do with them after the project was done is to share. So, no need to give me credit. An abberation breathing. This was done by foley work i was doing for ballad of the seven dice. I modified my voice with numerous effects in audacity to change the pitches and used reverb to give it that strange feeling.

Whispering saying "what the frick do i say. . . ". Good for dark music or casting a spell or evil.

Spanish female voice recorded with a stereo microphone. First i reduced the noise, then i add some echo and adjust the pitch.

I left the zoom h4n field recorder stationary as i mowed the back yard. Tonality and pitch changes based on terrain, velocity and movement.

An alarm i made in sylenth by distorting a sine wave mixed with a triangle wave. I then notched stuff out in eq, distorted it further and added reverb.

I heard a sound off to the right when i was recording some cat birds in the evening on 9/16/2020 in northeast ohio.
