My intention with my sound was to replicate the sound of gunfire in a rainy day. I envisioned a person caught in the crossroads of a battle while taking a stroll down a gravel road.

This is a fragment from the aria ah mes amis at a lower pitch and badly performed. Iintend to use it for a coursera homework (audio signal processing for music applications). The intention is to transpose it and simulate a morfing like a falseto to the true key where the tenor hits high c, which i obviously cannot hit, otherwise i wouldn't be taking coursera courses and uploading to freesound. . .

#thevangoghproject: series: patient’s rights sides with the mega-mental health corporation. Description:sound artifacts of a resistance process taking personal responsibility in being the change. Allowing the light of awareness to blossom in dark recesses of the human condition with the intention to bring healing, resolution, new/fresh solutions. Sound bytes from storytelling about the hurdles faced and overcome while being a peer support to an artist seeking to spiral up off the streets and through the mental health system in los angeles county. Barking back at the dogs of corruption we commit to turning on the light.

I decided to experiment with a metal slinky, with the intention of creating some science-fiction sounds. Here is a string out of what could potentially be used as "laser gun shots". There are a variety of individual shots, and at the latter-half of the clip i attempted to create a cross-fire gun fight. Some editing, including noise reduction may improve what i've done here. *recorded on may 09, 2021 using a sennheiser shotgun mic and a zoom h4n pro (and a shower, of course).

I've been recording some sounds for a an upcoming project which led me to recording the underside of the lid of a salad spinner and dangling a small plastic tab on it as it spun. It wasn't my intention but it sounds a bit like an old film projector. You can get some interesting results with this clip by messing a bit with the eq which is what i'll be doing for the finished project. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. If any of these sounds have been of help, and you are feeling charitable, please do consider donating to freesound to help keep the site running (a link is also on the home page). Any donations are greatly appreciated!.
