My floureon bm 800 tends to get a loud buzz when not used for a while. . . And a good old smack literally fixes it. I did this naturally for this sound sample, but i figured it would make an interesting sound to post here. Dialing the number 3. The dial plate telephone "fetap 611-2" (fernsprechtischapparat) in screaming orange was distributed by the german bundespost from 1972 on. It uses a real bell for ringing and of course it can only do pulse dialing. This was recorded with a single røde nt5 microphone via a behringer ddx3216 digital console into ardour. Recorded just after the clock struck midnight, signaling the beginning of 2023 in greenville, south carolina with a tascam dr-05 stereo recorder. Very nice clear recording with basically zero unwanted noises except for an occasional light water drip. Audio edited to perfection by me. ;) did some light eq, compression, limiting, and stereo balancing, as well as removing some of the constant ambient white noise hiss. Incorrect rendered and untreated noisy stereo loop, unintentionally done with an amiga emulator (uae for windows). Extremely dirty and distorted sound. The unrecognizable source was the title song of "speedball 2: brutal deluxe" (developed by "the bitmap brothers", music by "nation 12"). The error was was most likely either caused by wrong sound emulation settings or buffer underruns. Left channel is mostly white noise, while the right one is more like a hard industrial beat. The recording was made from the rear port side of the upper deck (where people are supposed to be quiet, but clearly don't obey the rules). Although the ambience is the in the public domain, the docking announcement over the pa system may need to be licensed through the dot. The instrument was a 1928 gibson l3. There are no effects. Key is (in order of best fit) d major, f# minor, e minor, g major, a blues. Time signature is 3/4, but these samples are mainly under a bar so can be used in a 4/4 song.
