Rain with one close, loud thunderclap and some smaller ones in a quiet city. Recorded with an olympus dm-550 on wide directivity mode (dvm).

This is from the 24th may 2016 morning thunderstorms over pécel, hungary recorded at 7am using my sony icd-ux512 stereo dictaphone.

Pure recording of a loud clap of thunder and the subsequent rumble. The initial crack is so loud and close that the recording volume is very low and catches almost no background sounds.

This is not a complete composition. This is a loop i created for people who play d&d or any rpg or game thats similar. It will loop perfectly. It is not diverse enough in composition to be considered a finished track, nor is it dynamic enough to be a finished song, it is a 3 min 30 seconds loop with the midi used on 2 different synths so it doesn't get more boring than it already is. This is not a complete composition. It's a loop. Meant to be looped. I used 2 sounds, the tiger roar and thunder from two other users. They described it is okay to do so in their description. This sounds as if it were staged by hollywood, but it actually did happen, i swear! birds chirp away to set the scene, but a beefy thunder roll intrudes. Soon after, raindrops begin to fall as if on cue. Theres a little handling noise click in the begining that is easy to crop out if you like. The recording is unedited. At 1:35 i move the mics closer to the deck so you can hear the splashing. At about at 3:10 i you’ll hear a different timbre as i move away from the rain and under an awning. About 3:45 the rain settles down and the birds start chirping again. Hopefully there are some useful segments in here. Recorded with a dead cat on a tascam dr-05 at 48khz 24 bit, then compressed with “lame --preset insane --scale 10” to make up for the low gain i used (i was afraid a thunderclap would engage the limiter). From 26th to 27th june 2016 intense thunderstorm in the distance recorded by my sony icd-ux512, pécel, hungary.

This is a recording of a storm from the balcony of the living room in the province of rieti in italy on wednesday 8 september 2021, where various noises such as lightning, thunder, heavy rain, a bit of wind and even an ambulance and a bulldozer working in distance. This recording was done with the shure mv88 plus stereo microphone connected to my iphone 12 pro.
