These are the ambient sounds of a sailboat underway. You hear the sounds of wind-filled sails, the tugs on line, and boat parts movement as the boat is moving through the water under a steady wind. You can hear when the boat changes direction from being close hauled to more down wind. The zoom h4n digital recorder was used in collecting this sound. Enjoy.

This is a break i made to layer over my breaks at 102bpm. It was created in free tracker jeskola buzz using vst instrument, alchemy, multiloop2-move knob 1. This is not a looped sample from the instrument, i created it using the tracker, then applied an ohm boys delay effect. Sounds great over the breaks at 102. Enjoy :).

Realised to my dismay that this sound was not available. A card tapping and scraping on a ceramic plate. Designed to imitate the noise of cocaine being cut up. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 in a 4m square kitchen. Tea towel was placed under the plate to cut out an excessive noise from the plate itself. Recorded with a low frequency cut off at 80hz.

MIDI of "Ut Queant Laxis", an 8th century hymn best known for being the basis for Ut-Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La, later modified to the familiar Do-Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La-Ti. Each line begins with a note that moves up the scale from Do to La (Ti not being used in music of that period).

Made using two synths. One is a noise generator that has been pitched down three octaves. It has a 12-hertz sine tremolo on either side, one of which is offset by half a wavelength. The other synth is a deep organ playing e3 and g3. I cut the sound in audacity, and the waves line up perfectly, so you don't need to worry about looping it badly.

Another free instrumental by anonymous producer mesostic. At a slow tempo, and with dissonant synthy chords, this is the perfect track for a hardline rapper to spit out some lines to. Or maybe it would make a great quirky soundtrack to your next homespun film project. The song was written in Ableton Live using Ableton core instruments and the U-He Diva soft synth on the lead line. Mesostic has also shared all stems here on Wikimedia for your remixing, extending and sampling delight.

A long recording on board the "green car" of the jr tokkaido line from atami to shinagawa. A "green car" refers to the first class cars on some long distance local trains. The ride is smoother and the cars are generally much quieter. The cars are generally empty but, this was at the end of a 3 day weekend, so the car was actually quite active (i'll try to get a quiet one soon). You can hear the ticket attendant, the conductor's announcements, station arrivals and departures, passengers getting on and off the train and settling in and having conversations. At some point you can hear the guy behind me eating senbei (a crunchy japanese rice cracker) - that's a little annoying, but there might be some usable bits in there if you're good at editing backgrounds. But like i said, i'll try to get a less busy train next time. Recorded with 2 stereo mic pairs and unedited.

Standing in line at the checkout, neighborhood supermarket, chicago, 7/17/16 at 6:25pm. Recorded with two countryman emw lavaliers in a head-mounted binaural arrangement, into a tascam dr-40 recorder. Processed to remove excessive bass rumble and compensate for eq curve of lavaliers.

Field recording of the ocean surf at the outer banks, nc. Recorded approximately ten yards from the surf line on a zoom hand held recorder mounted under a beach umbrella. Record mode was 4 mic, using front and rear stereo mic pairs summed to stereo mix. Front (90 degree) mics facing ocean, (east). Rear (120 degree) mics facing the dunes, (west). A recording of an entire journey on the london underground (jubilee line) but could pass as any subway/metro if you remove the train announcements. The recording begins at the top of escalators, travels to the platform, boards the train, then covers the whole journey, getting out of the train, and ascending the escalators at the other end.

A small bassline created with my new rocktile ebass. I used the (free) safe plugins compressor and equalizer by semanticaudio for the effect part. I used audacity to merge the parts. Recorded with wavosaur. There are small pops at the transition from no fx to fx and at the end of the fx part, just cut them away with some audio software. I didn't listen to it before uploading. My fault, i was sloppy cutting. Plugins: http://www. Semanticaudio. Co. Uk/.

An old guitar recording that served as a sample to my music track dreaming of places that don't exist ( https://soundcloud. Com/headshock-1/dreaming-of-places-that-dont-exist). Direct recording of my jackson sl-3 soloist electric guitar through a line 6 pod x3, using its internal reverb effects. (large hall reverb with decay at 99%, or maybe even 100% for that endless washed out effect).

This is a gurgling sound i created by accident. It's a short clip from the "new dimensions in sound (1957)" public domain clip from the prelinger collection at archive. Org. Specifically, i used this line: "as the record plays, the needle wiggles. " cut out the first part, made a loop of "the needle wiggles. . . The needle wiggles," and lowered the pitch with reapitch by two octaves. This was the result.

Error beep from the colorino talking color identifier and light probe, a pocket sized 2-in-1 unit, which is a color identifier/light detector for the blind and colorblind. This happens when the detector is not flush with the object you're trying to read the color from, so it lets in too much external light. Recorded from line-in on my desktop.

I made this instrumental music in two versions, with and without drums. This is with drums. I did it in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I made a bass-line on a doublebass that i played around with. Like the fact that it's groovy and a bit dark. Added a drumbeat i made that i think suited the bass-line. Strings are always cool so added that and more. Could be perfect for an intro, outro, something spooky and cool, mysterious or whatever you feel like. . . . Let the imagination run wild. Feel free to use it as you like as long as you subscribe to and watch my channel! if you wanna use it in your music and gonna release it, ask me first. Don't wanna see my music copyrighted by someone else of course. Be cool watch and subscribe to victors crypt:https://www. Youtube. Com/channel/uca8o46_wrqzehsdzuwfq3rq. This sound would be suited for background atmosphere in a nightmare movie sequence, or to blast out of your windows to the neighborhood on halloween. It was created in audacity by using a piece the audio track from the end of the movie "my cousin vinny". It is the line marisa tomei says as she and vinny are driving back to n. Y. (oh my god, what a f'ing nightmare). It was then noise-reduced, pitch and tempo adjusted, reversed, and paulstretched.
